Cecil is your main character. The whole story revolves around him, therefor he is in your party at all times. He can use swords, shields, and armor When he is a black kinght of Baron.
Later when he is a paladin he can use swords, knives, bows, shields, and armor. Cecil begins as a Dark Knight of Baron, the most powerful country in the overworld. He is told by the king to take a package to Myst Town, the town of callers. After this he travels around the world trying to set things right.(normal hero stuff)He becomes a paladin. As a Knight he has no special abilities. As a paladin he use White magic and a skill called cover which takes the damage for another party memeber. It turns out that Cecil is part alien and Golbez is his brother.***
Fusoya:Fusoya ia an alien from the moon. He is the best magic user you will ever have.He can even use Meteo. Meteo is the pinnicle of all spells. He was the freind of Cecil's father who came from the moon too. You meet him when you go to the moon in the big whale for
the first time. He talks about their race's history bla, bla, bla... Then he tells Cecil that he is an alien
and his brother is Golbez. Then you go back to earth and fight the Giant of Babel.(This is easy with
Excalibur and Meteo.
Kain:
Kain by far is my favorite character. He is a Dragoon. Dragoons are the Specialist Knights of Baron. Cecil is his comrade and best friend. He set out with Cecil on his journey to bring the package to Myst Town. He is then lost in the comotion and he is brainwashed by Golbez. This repeats itself many times until he joins you for good when you go to the moon. He can use spears and armor all throughout the game. He has a special ability called jump.He jumps in the air and comes down for a nice amount of Damage.***
Rosa:
Rosa is a good character to play. She is the healer. Her only abilitys are aim and< white magic. Aim is a special arrow attack. You first see her in Baron when begin playing. Her story with cecil begins when she has a small argument in the middle of the night. After that you don't see her again until Kaipo, a desert vilage. After that you get medicine for her. She is then kidnapped at Fabul. You dont see her again until you rescue her. She then travels with you for the rest of the game. She uses bows&arrows, and robes etc...On an interesting note look at her hair it looks like a hat.***
Rydia:Rydia is a caller. She can summon monsters from the under world. You first meet her when you kill her mother. Her mother attacks you with the mist summon and when you kill it she dies. Then you open the package in the town and it is a bomb. Then she attacks you with titan. This causes an earthquake and seals up Myst Town. Then you go on with her meet Tellah and you lose her when your boat is attacked by Leviathan. You then get her back when you are fighting Golbez in the Dwarven castle. She is then more powerful. You get her more summons when you do something for or defeat certain monsters.***
Palom:
As amazing as it may seem if you've never played the game before(I hope you have.) Palom is a guy.(Kinda Scary) The thing is, he and his sister are supposed to be identical twins. I think that it is better than a girl looking like a guy. Well, Palom is a black-magic user. He can use pretty good spells once he is worked up. I generally got him to where he knew "Fire 3". This helps alot against undead. He and his siter can use special magic called "Twin". This produces some wicked spells like comet. Which is very good at that point. He is usually late.
Porom:
Porom is Palom sister. She can use white-magic. She and her brother don't always get along well. She is very punctual and works very hard at her studies. Her cure spells work well against undead.She and her bro. have good lines. It is way too bad that they have to sacrafice themselves to save you. But they are pretty cool.
Edward:
Edward is the Bard-Prince of Damcyn. He was in love with Tellah's daughter. She had just run off to meet him so they could marry. But while she was at the castle the Baron's Redwings attacked Damcyn, mortally wounding Edward's bride. Tellah comes in and thinks that Edward did it. So he shouts the famous line "You Spoony Bard!" (one of the funniest) Edward isn't a very good character. He can use harps. Only the charm harp does much good. You lose him soon after you get it. He can sing and put some enemies to sleep. He helps you one more time, when he saves your ass when you fight Dark Elf.
Golbez:
Golbez is the "Evil But Cool Character" of most of the game. You then find out that he was brainwashed by Zemus, the real "Uglay Bad Guy." Golbez did the sanme thing to Kain that Zemus did to him. You have to stop him from getting all the crystals and destroying the world. Of course this fails and he reagains all his memories and goes off with Fusoya to battle Zemus. He has some very cool spells and can transform himslef into a hand. He is Cecil's brother. (when somethin bad happens just shout "Golbez!")
NoImgEdgeEdge has a very lame reason for being in the story of anyone. His parents were killed by Rubicant. He avenges them and wants to save the world. Other than that he is an awesome character. He has the coolest weapons. The only one that is in every Sqauresoft RPG. The Legendary Masamune Katana. There is also one thing I dont understand; if Edge is a ninja why does he use a samuri's weopon and why is he using two TWO-HANDED swords!! But he still weilds the all powerful weopon that is in all the games so that aoutmotically makes him cool not to mention the fact that he is a nija. adn he can throw things. Which by the way works very well with the weopon duplicator trick. He is invaluable at the end just have him throwing crystal swords left and right and make sure the rest of your party doesn't get wasted and have a good time.***
CidCid is another of my favorite cahracters. I just find it cool that he is extremely smart, weilds a large pain inflicting weopon and is an engineer. He is the head engineer of Baron the most powerful country in the world. He uses hammers which on the weapons list look like wrenches. He along with the always expendable characters vicks+wedge, are the only ones to appear in every final fantasy.(excluding Mystic Quest for very obvious reasons.) He special ability is to peep which I like because while he is in your party you don't have to use Cecil to peep. He is all around a cheery type of guy.
NoImgYangYang is a karatre man from fabul ""ACHOOO!!" He is the retainer to the king of Fabul. He is a very powerful fighter when have in your party. He has the lamest special ability kick it does minimal amounts of dame to lots of enimes to it I say "ACHOO!!" His wife is the most help npc in the whole game she gives you... THE SPOON!!(see secrets section)
