Revival In The Heart Of Every Christian

For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy;
I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit,
to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

(Isaiah 57:15)

STEPPING WHERE THERE IS NOTHING TO STEP ON

SCRIPTURE: Hebrews 11:1

INTRODUCTION: Everyone is concerned with security. We love the feeling of knowing that we have provision. As odd as it may sound, too often the more secure we try to make our selves, the more insecure we acutely become. The text tells us is the substance or the exact image of things hoped for and the evidence or testimony of things not seen. When you take a picture and the shutter on the lens opens, whatever is in front of the camera is recorded on the film. When the film is processed you have the exact image of what you photographed. Faith is the film that records the exact image of what you hope foe for. Beyond that, faith becomes the testimony of what you cannot even see. Stepping out on nothing simply means that you are stepping out where there are no securities guaranteed.

DAVID KNEW A SECURITY THAT WAS COMPLETE

A. He could step out on his insecurities and rest calmly in the security of the Lord.

1. David trusted God. “The Lord is my shepherd” (Psalm 23:1).
2. The Lord was his light. “Oh God you are my light and my salvation” (Psalm 27:1).
3. The Lord was his rock. “Thou art my rock and my fortress "Psalm 31:3).

B. David had a security that convinced him - he said “I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1).
In Psalm 108:1 David said, “O God, my heart is fixed” FIXED means “repaired; also set and unchangeable.” The church of today needs people whose hearts are fixed and unchangeable.

C. Cornelius was a gentiles, but he dared to worship God.

D. Peter walked on water when he trusted in the Lord.

E. Elijah was fed by ravens as he obeyed God, and fire fell on mount Carmel when he prayed.

DAVID HAD A CLEAN HEART

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10).

A. We do not need the heart of man, we need the heart of God. We do not need:

1. The heart of Moses - he was to easily vexed.
2. The heart of Abraham - it made him tell a lie.
3. The heart of Jacob - he became a deceiver.

B. God wants people with a clean heart.

C. God want people with a courageous heart.

D. God wants people with a faith-filled heart.

DARE TO STEP OUT ON NOTHING

A. Stepping out will result in change.

1. He will change your nothingness into His Almightiness.
2. He will change your fear into faith.
3. He will change your weakness into His power.
4. He will change you failure into success.
5. He will change your spiritually poverty into the riches of His grace.
6. He will change your babbling into the unction of His anointing.

CONCLUSION: People passed and present testify to this message, STEPPING OUT ON NOTHING, has proven and provided everything to them.
