Every now and then I go back to Kai Krause's Photoshop tutorial in MetaCreations website as I like his tutorials so much. One of the lessons is about how to make full use of twirl filter besides a lot more other helpful tips and tricks. As a result I produced the effect above with the combination of twirl filter and Hue/Saturation adjustment. It looks like blazing melted metal so I named it Blazing Spiral. Happy Photoshopping. Hey, wasn't that word coined by Kai?? :)
