Using Boost Wisely
When you are racing and you get boost power after completing the first lap you can use a boost to your advantage. You know about the yellow arrows that give you boosts when you ride over them. Well, when you get boost power, you hit B for boost before hitting the yellow arrow. When you go over the arrow you will stop loosing your energy. So for the amount of time you hit B and go over the arrow , that is how much power you will lose.
To do this you must set the VS handicap to +2 and go into multiplayer. Start a race as usual and complete 1 lap. Then have one person turn around and drive backwards. If a boost is used it will only use up a fraction of the energy that a normal boost uses! You can reach amazing speeds this way. This has no use in racing but is great for setting speed records.
To have the title screen change to a comic book motif, beat F-Zero X on Expert. For a second change, beat the game on Master difficulty.
Mute City II - Right after you make the third hard turn, you will see a ramp to the left that looks like it will lead you off track. If you hit it with a booster, you will fly over the gap and onto the next strip of tracks.
Make Your Model Car Stop Moving
When you are picking the settings for your car and you probably notice how your car spins in a annoying fasion. If you want it to just stop, then press all 4 C-Buttons at the same time. Your car will just sit there without moving. Just make sure you hold it or else your car will start spinning again
This trick/glitch is an extension of the "Blow up through finish line" trick. When you blow up through the finishing line, try to position your car in the middle of the track. Hopefully you finished in first, and if so, it is almost certain another car will hit you and destroy you. Now, as the race is over and the stats are being shown, the camera will be focusing on nothing but the track. A weird glitch that is cool to try out.
If you're in the lead with no energy left and you're about to cross the finish line, you can ram the side of the track and blow up through the finish line! It will only work if you are still sliding and shooting sparks... once you actually blow up into smitherenes, it won't work. Have fun! The camera will also zoom in on your corpse!
If you beat a certain time in the Time Attact Mode, you will unlock a ghost which is hard to beat. (harder than the Master Mode) Here are the times:

During any GP race in F-Zero X, press the L button to see how far behind you are from the leader, or how far ahead you are of the second place vehicle. The time will appear at the upper right hand corner of the screen.
The Ultimate Code (All Tracks, Cars, Difficulties)
So much for Nintendo never including button codes in their games: By inputting the following key combination, you can have all the cups available, including the hidden X-Cup and Joker. It also gives you all 30 cars, and gives you the extra difficulty level, Master.
Here is the code -- but remember -- earning stuff is more fun than cheating: L, Z, R, C-up, C-down, C-left, C-right, Start. Input this code at the Mode Selection screen and you should hear a chime.
Beat all four cups (including Joker) on Expert difficulty and you will unlock a fifth, "special" cup called the X-Cup. The X-Cup is a random track generator that will create six new tracks (X1-X6) everytime you play. You cannot earn "X" marks on this cup, but it is available in different difficulties.
Defeat the Jack, Queen, King, and Joker Cups on all all three difficulty levels to access the super-hard Master level.
At the car selection screen, press and hold L, R, and the four C-buttons and you will see the car shrink. Now you can play with smaller cars!
Beat the Jack, Queen and King cups on Standard difficulty and another cup, the Joker Cup, with six all new tracks will open up.
Make the Ships Wiggle in a Tempting Fashion
At the Ship Select Screen press these four buttons at the same time:
R Button + L Button + left-C + down-C
Strangely, the ships all move together as if taunting your feeble efforts to find them. Then again, this could be the start of a longer code.
At the ship stats screen: (Right after you select your ship)
Press the Z or R button to scroll through the alternate
color schemes. Use the C buttons to fully rotate your
selected ship.
