Silk Screen experiment

This piece was done using a technique called silk screen. That means that a special kind of ink is forced through a screen of tightly stretched silk. Under the screen is a stencil, -mine was in the shape of Sailor Jupiter,- and a piece of paper. Where the stencil is, the paper remains white. A second stencil was applied to create the background.

I was trying to create a sense of drama and energy with this piece. I think it ended up looking very much like a transformation sequence.
