Player Name: Claire "Coffee Tramp" Doyle

Character Name: Maire Drakon

Age: 22

Nature: dragon (read: shapeshifter)

Description: Maire is 5'8", with raven black hair and eyes that at first appear black but are in truth dark red, the color of a good quality ruby, with gold flecks. She is thin and graceful when she moves, her skin lightly tanned. She is more exotic than beautiful.

Personality: As to be expected, Maire is fiery and temperamental, and will turn on you quickly. Her fuse is incredibly short, and it takes a long time for her to calm herself. But when she is your friend, she's fiercely loyal and dependable, ready to stand up for you in battle. She's outgoing enough that you can strike up a conversation with her, but it's probably not going to be deep and heartfelt unless she knows you well, and you'll probably get a good dose of dry wit. If you ask for her help, you'll get it, guaranteed.

Special Talents/Abilities: Being a dragon is more than it's cracked up to be. She can fly, in dragon form only, of course, and she has the ability to read minds of just about anyone short of demi-gods (or really really powerful fae and vamps). She can heal very quickly, and is pretty much impervious to anything. She has one weak spot, right around her jugular, but that's about it. Spells do have an effect on her, and she has to obey wards.

History: Maire was born in America, the daughter of Deirdre O'Connell, an Irish history teacher, and Alex Drakon, a Greek archaeologist and historian who just happened to be a two thousand year old dragon. Her parents met while lecturing at Boston College, fell in love, and got married, despite Alex's confession of his true nature. Deirdre didn't mind at all.

Maire had a happy childhood, and it wasn't until she was twelve that her true nature began to show. With pure dragons, their true nature is shown at birth, but it waited for Maire because of the mortal blood in her. It complicated her adolescence, and she was a little resentful that she was different from other children. But the first time her father took her flying, she changed her mind.

At eighteen, everything changed. She came home from college at BC where she was attending to find her mother unconscious and covered in blood, and her father on the floor of her bedroom with his throat ripped out. It turned out that a local witch had taken a dislike to dragons and decided to get rid of her father. She had put a spell on her mother which caused her to, well. . . Deirdre never recovered from the shock and was placed in a home. The witch, who also happened to be insane, killed herself. Maire in her own way still hasn't gotten over what happened. She became harder, more introverted, though on the surface, she appeared happy enough. She just refuses to get close to people, for fear that what happened to her parents would happen to her, be it through a best friend, boyfriend, or husband.

After finishing college summa cum laude with her major in history, she moved as far away from Boston as she could, simply because the memories were too much. She found herself in Midnight Bay, where she's currently working on her master's degree and works part time as manager of Nectar of the Gods.
