Crafts/Hobbies and Music
My latest art has been pencil drawing. I'll try to get some pictures up.
I like working with wire. I've made hanging candle chandeliers, little heart hangers,
wall hangings. I've made a lot of jewelry. I like making little suns with clay.
I'd like to do more tin punching. Lately I've been knitting and crocheting again. It's not the same kind of "art",
but it feels right; scarfs, shawls,
felted wool, even doilies.
I like to paint, but I'm more into words -you know, letters, fonts- than pictures.
This time of year I'm in my flower/garden beds whenever I can,(my son loves to help!)
My guitar playing started when I was 23. I picked up some from the book "The Beatles Complete"
(It had the little pictures of the chords) I learned some picking patterns from a friend.
Another friend gave lessons and showed me some more. I have played in a band and at 4 churches.
When I started playing it was so I could sing the hymns and songs from church at home and praise
and worship whenever I wanted. I've lost that along the way,
but God has been showing me everywhere I turn that I need to get back there
