VAF-7A Shadow Fighter,QAF-7A Shadow Drone & VF-1 V Vindicator

The mecha depicted  in the Robotech RPG Book Five, and the Robotech II RPG, is in fact an automated fighter called the QAF-7A Shadow Fighter. The manned version is the VAF-7A Shadow Fighter, which Palladium named the VF-1V Vindicator, and it's size and weaponry are identicle to the normal Alpha, with the exception of the EU-13 Destabilizer.

The Shadow Drone (listed as VAF-7A in the RPG) carries 68 missiles, rather than the 84 listed in the RPG. They are: 12 in each torso "GR-12" launcher, 10 in each forearm and 12 in each leg. The Drone is programmed with the abilites of a 5th level Alpha Pilot, and has the following combat abilites:

*6 Attacks per melee
*+4 to strike
*+5 to parry
*+6 to dodge in Battloid & Gardian, +8 in Fighter
*+6 to roll

Shadow Drones are grouped 3 to a Shadow Alpha, which operates as the groups commander. The Drones can make their own (very limited) decisions, but will stick close to and cover their commander. If the groups commanding Shadow Alpha is knocked out, the Drones
combat abilites are halved and will use their own limited inteleignce to complete the mission.

Another option is to remote control the Drones or groups of Drones. However you need a large transmitter and the control extends to just giving orders for the Drones to carry out, not actual control of the drone.

The so-called Vinicator DOES NOT EXIST! That mecha is the normal Shadow Alpha! It is nearly identicle to a normal Alpha and the ONLY difference is the cloaking system, and the EU-13 Destabilizer!
