CLUB HISTORY


Club Background

 The Hawkesbury Cricket Club entered the Sydney Grade competition in the 1985-86 
season to provide opportunities at a high level for cricketers in the NW region of  Sydney.

Since that time the club has developed steadily to become a strong, 
progressive organisation achieving its objectives.
The club exists predominately to act as a community organisation. Its role is 
to provide opportunities for young sportsmen to progress into the first-class arena by;

Ø  Developing player's skills and knowledge
Ø  Instilling good professional attitudes about the game
Ø  Insisting on the highest possible standards of behavior

The clubs short and long term goals are:

· Improving confidence within the club.
· Increasing the number of people attracted to playing  cricket.
· Finishing in a high position in the Club Championship with  all Grade teams competitive for the semi-final status.
· Improving credibility of administration and playing strength within the Hawkesbury district.
· Encourage further development of the coaching staff.
· Develop players to represent at higher levels.
· Develop the Club as the cricketing focus of Sydney's north-west.
