TEAM REPORTS: Rd 1-2
FIRST GRADE:
Struggled to reach 142, C.Watson an excellent 46 then bowled without any penetration to have Bankstown set up a good 1st innings lead.
Steve Simons came out and scored his maiden grade 100 supported well by G.Mail who was also not out in the 60's.
G.Mail scored a wonderful 139 against Nth Sydney to set a good 1st innings of 299. Nth Sydney batted well and passed the score 8 down.
We finally put everything together against Manly in the limited overs comp. Lead by Cameron Watsons sensational innings of 122 where every bowler was treated with contempt we compiled 239. Hawks then came out and bowled very well with Shieldsy, Rhys and Kersh all taking 3 wickets to have Manly out for 115.

SECOND GRADE:
In Round 1 we scrambled to 261 with goods knocks from Dave Camarsh 51 and Cam Cook 38 n.o. Bankstown 6/332 , Jarod Hodges 3-56 of 25 overs. This game saw the introdution of Patrick "the shadow" Colomb the newest member to our club.
Round 2: Hawks all out for 221 , Joe Allen 58 and Cam Cook 33. Nth Sydney 307 , Silver Fox Coby 4-59. Hawks then 6-233, John Allen 102n.o.
T.F.C. AWARD: Goes to Brian "Beats" Beatty. Arrived 50min late for the game. Broke down in his 1st spell complaining of a stiff ankle, the boys believe it was because of a stiff head wind. Spent the rest of the day at 1st slip and jagged two catches. This is all in his first game after being married just before the season started.
Congratulations Beats on the big day.

THIRD GRADE:
A fantastic start to the season with Leon Milne setting the standard in the first game with 70 runs. With a number of other batters pitching in.
The second game although we played well and was highlighted by Dave Wilsons wonderful maiden grade 100 and backed up by Andy Williams with 82 and Leon with another 70, the game fissled out to a draw. One other highlight was the good form of Paul Brady with the ball in both games.

FOURTH GRADE:
A great start to the season . Won the toss and elected to bowl. Fielded really well and Mark Lennon's 4 wickets stood out as did Paul Riley's 2 wickets in his first game for the club. Vinesh and Chris Fletcher also performed well with the ball.
With the bat…Cookies 50, Tim Parmenter's 43, Vinesh 38 and Brendans 35 helped the hawks home in a tight one.
In the 2nd game another great effort by Mark Lennon capturing 5 wickets, 2 for Vinesh and Andy Powers saw Nth Sydney dismissed for 203.
With the bat… Cookies 30 n.o. had things looking good for us but week 2 was washed out. All in all a great start for the Hawks.

FIFTH GRADE:
No points as yet, but good performances coming out of both games.
Game 1 reduced to one day due to their covers being burnt before the first day. Batting first we attempted to set a target but were bundled out for 188. Tim Robertson 47 n.o. and Jayson Hopkins 46 with two sixes & 4 fours. Bankstown enjoyed the better of the wicket passing us one down.
V's Nth Sydney. At Benson's Lane 2 (Hume Hwy ) over the long weekend, a thousand runs were scored on the wicket in 5 days, unfortunately not all by us. Norths won the toss & scored 4/331 .
Day 2 our turn, 281 all out. The 3 Tim's , Tim Jordan 61, Tim Robertson 64 and Tim Gardiner 62 were the pick of the batsmen. Another cavalier innings by Jayson Hopkins 35.
Welcome to Michael Inger who is showing a lot of promise as a new ball bowler, the wickets will come so will the wins in 5th Grade. Looking forward to round 3 and back to Bensons 3 and a new wicket.
