Synopsis: The story is about an alien race that has existed for many years and has been covered up by the American government. It threatens the future of humanity and only FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) can stop them. Along the way they encounter, among others, spies out to stop the truth coming out and alien viruses that can kill them; and of course the common all garden bee!

My opinion: I enjoyed this film because I thought it had some funny bits, a nice amount of action and kept the pace going. Though if you have never seen 'The X-Files' before or don't like the series, you're not going to enjoy it as much as a fan. It still has some good moments though, but perhaps not enough. It also has some dodgy dialogue, that to the X-Files fan can prove a little irritating and un X-Fileish and to a non X-Files fan corny. Also some of the speeches it has can be a bit long, but informative to non-fans. Overall it's a good film but doesn't quite hit the mark. Rent the video if you're a fan or are particularly intrigued but if you hate the programme or are totally uninterested, rent something else like Armageddon or Deep Impact.

Best quote: Boys: Who are you?

Mulder: We're FBI agents.

Boys: You're not FBI agents!

Mulder: How do you know? (Amused tone)

Boys: You look like Door-to-Door salesmen.

What a really good line to put someone down with!
