Special Agent Fox Mulder nervously picked up his cell phone and dialled Special Agent Dana Scully's number on speed dial.

"Scully," She answered.

"D - Da - D - Scully," Mulder said in a shaky voice.

"Mulder?" Scully asked with concern in her voice.

"Scully, will you marry me?" Mulder asked. Before Scully could answer, there was a knock on her apartment door. Still in shock, she opened it, not knowing what to do or say. There was Mulder, on one knee, his cell phone at his ear and a ring in his hand. Scully looked lovingly at Mulder with tears in her eyes. Scully let him slip the ring onto her finger. It was the single most beautiful thing she had ever seen. She offered her hand to Mulder and pulled him up into a long, deep, kiss. A few minutes later, Scully found herself nibbling on a sunflower seed as Mulder said,

"I think it's remotely plausible that someone might take that as a yes."

6 months later, the day before the wedding, Scully wakes up in her apartment, laying next to Mulder, who was still fast asleep looking as innocent as a baby. Scully took off her necklace, and put it around Mulder's neck, which awakened him.

"Mulder, I want you to have this. It means that God is always with you, and so am I."

"Call me Fox." Mulder said, pulling his fiancée into a kiss. A few minutes later, Scully sat up.

"Remember when we first met?" She asked Mulder.

"It was like we hated each other." Mulder remembered.

"But something clicked the moment I laid eyes on you." They said at the exact same time, which brought on more kissing.

The morning of the wedding, Scully and Mulder jolted awake at the exact same time.

"Did you just have a really weird dream?" They asked each other in chorus.

"Everyone was there, at our wedding!" Scully said in awe.

"X, Deep Throat, Max Fenig, Boggs, the Well-Manicured Man..." Mulder ticked off.

"Emily, my dad, Melissa, Eves 6, 8, 9 and 10..." Scully continued.

The couple sat there for an hour or so, naming everyone in the dream, remember every case they had worked on together for the past six years.

"Hey, Dana?" Mulder asked.

"Yes, Fox?" Scully relied.

"Was my sister in your dream?"

"No, Fox, I'm sorry."

"Samantha wasn't there!" Mulder cried.

A tear ran slowly down his cheek and he tried to hide it, but didn't pull back as Scully wiped it away.

"I wish Sam could be at my wedding, even if it's only in my dreams."

"Me too," consoled Scully. "Me too."

Later that day at the wedding, Skinner confronted them.

"Congratulations, Agent Scully, Agent Mulder." he said.

"Thank you, sir" They replied.

"I always knew that someday you two would be married. You have this charisma with each other I've never seen it before. As much as I hate to do this, after you are married, I must reassign you. We can't have Agent Mulder and Agent Mulder running around chasing little green men together."

"We're aware of that, sir. "Scully said.

"We've gone from being FBI partners to life partners." Mulder said, kissing his soon-to-wife, as he spotted the Lone Gunmen over in the corner. Langly and Byers were trying their best to comfort a sobbing Frohike. Mulder, placing his hand around Scully, pointed out his friends and graciously led her to them. As the couple approached, Frohike tried to make himself look presentable.

"Hey, man," He said to Mulder. "I said she was hot first."

"Yeah, but I'm the one who thought it was plausible." Mulder replied coolly. Scully smiled up at Mulder, than followed her Mother off to get ready.

Not long had Scully left her fiancée's side when Bill appeared.

"Hi," Bill said, clearing his throat. "Um, this isn't easy for me, but I, uh, just want to apologise for some of my past actions and I want you to know that I couldn't be happier that you're marrying my sister. Dana loves you so much. I've never seen her so happy!"

"Thanks. That really means a lot to me." Mulder said nonchalantly before running off himself to prepare for the wedding.

In the next room, Mrs. Scully was helping Scully with her hair.

"You know, Dana, honey," Mrs. Scully told her oldest daughter. "I always knew that you and Fox would get married someday. You're so perfect for each other. The way you trust each other, the way you feel towards each other, it's a love that's one in a million, and I always knew it would happen."

"I think that deep down, I knew it would, too, Mom." Dana confided.

"Alright, everyone, take your places! They're ready to start!" Someone called.

"Where's the flowergirl?" One of the bridesmaids asked.

"Oh my God, Fox, we forgot to get a flowergirl!" Scully cried.

"How 'bout me?" A soft, gentle voice asked.

"Samantha!" Mulder cried, his eyes filling with tears as he went to hug her. She looked exactly as she had years ago when she was only eight and abducted one dark night.

The little girl climbed into the dress and began to walk down the isle.

The priest began, and a little while later said, "Do you, Fox, take Dana to be your lawful wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?"

"I do." Mulder replied.

"Do you, Dana," the Priest continued, "take Fox to be your lawful wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?"

"I do." Scully answered, glanced down at her ring, which had "the truth is out there" engraved in it.

"You may now kiss the bride." The priest said. Mulder kissed the bride. Never had he had a more meaningful kiss. He had waited six long years for that kiss, six wonderful years with Special Agent Dana Scully. Or should he say Special Agent Dana Mulder? When Mulder looked up, he glanced around for Samantha. She was no where to be seen, but Mulder felt, more than ever, that Samantha was with him.
