October Sky

This is a story about a Coal miner and family trying to compete
with his rocket scientest son wannabe. His father has no
patiencets with him. He sets off rockets in the back yard and
blows up fences. He moves his rocket launch pad out into the
wilderness and gets arrested for setting a forest fire. Laura
Dern the school teacher prods the boy into setting out to win the
school scholarship at the science fare, He meets with all kinds
of set backs , a sick father who wants him to work in the mine
and he doesnt want to work in the mine. This is a very exiciting
movie, The music is good, The sets are fantastic and this is the
best two hour film i have seen this year . This is very
reminiscent of the movie Stand by me. This should do very well
with the teenage set. It is a wonderfull film all the way around.
