Robin Williams plays a baker who owned a restauraunt in
Hungary shortly before the Russians defeated the
Nazis. He saves a young girl from the concentration
camp by telling everybody the war news he heard over a
non existing radio. The movie is very depressing to
watch how they mistreat the people in the Jewish section
of the town. I dont know why everybody just cant
get along. I dont know why they bothered to film
the movie in technicolor. It would have been more
realistic in black and white. The movie does have a
happy ending for some of the residents, some of them meet
a misfortunate end. The acting is terrific. three
