Author Notes: It's true! Just look at our world! Mulder and Scully are the only couple, on TV and in real life who respect each other's boundaries, who don't have a three-letter word their minds 24-7!.
There are times when I just want to break down and screw him like there's no tomorrow. But then that little voice in my head reminds me,
"Calm down, Scully, you love Mulder and he loves you, but you need to set a good example for all the little kiddies in the world. What would Emily think?"
But then there's the other side of me, the devil that cries, "Don't tell me to calm down, I'm not going to calm down until Mulder is safely inside me!"
But I guess it's true. Mulder and I are the only lovers in the world who set a good example.
While the president's out with his interns, Mulder and I can subside satisfaction from every smile, every hand touch, every pat on the shoulder, every kind word spoken to one another.
I have to admit I hope someday to be married to Mulder. To move out of the city into a little house in the countryside. However, I know that Mulder won't quit until he finds Samantha and I'm willing to follow him every step of the way, through every reported case of paranormal phenomena even if I spend my life doing it and never actually marry Mulder, at least I will be there with him. Whenever I'm in danger, Mulder comes to my rescue. Whenever I say I'm fine, well, let's just say that Mulder can tell if I really mean it or not.
He leans on me, and I lean on him.
He's always there for me when I need a shoulder to cry on. The way that we argue about theories is something I cherish in away; it's like we're bickering like a married couple.
All I can say in my defence and Mulder's too, is that we're the only couple I know of that can keep their paws off of each other. Sure, maybe the bureau's policy of male and female agents consorting in the same hotel room while on assignment has something to do with it, but we've been together plenty of times when we weren't on assignment and weren't in a hotel.
Our love is unspoken, our touch tiny, the rest of the candy is in our minds.
