You have reached the Big Red Pride official band site. The Bel Air High School Band, of El Paso, Texas is under the direction of David Waters, John Scanlon and Marty Olivas. The Bel Air Band program consists of three performing bands, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic and Concert band. There are approximately 240 students in the band program at this time. During the 99-00' marching season we performed Russian Christmas by Alfred Reed. We competed in the Zia March Fest in Albuquerque, New Mexico and received two awards for Best Percussion and another for General Effect. We received 1st place and were given the title - Grand Champions. We also competed in the NMSU Tournament of Band and also received the title - Grand Champions, which is something that has never happened here at Bel Air.
