My Miniatures Gallery (4)

I am not going to tell you what is on this page - the rest are all different to what I say so where's the point? However, as ever, Enjoy, Comment, and criticise!

Here we Have the biggest single Figure I have painted (note: FIGURE - this excludes vehicles and buildings). I painted it on Holiday at one of these activity centre things - not the best of weeks! Anyway - diverging there from the point. It is a clay cast figure, standing over a foot tall (the ringed section shows the GorkaMorka slaver featured earlier in the Gallery!). It was my first attempt at a figure larger than 1/35 scale - quite a jump! I put it on here because it is different. It was painted using an unidentified type of paint - but I was assured that it was specially for working on clay (to this day I am not sure of the claims!) and with nothing smaller than a size four brush (both ends when I got desperate!).

Here we have another of my EPIC First's. This one was a trial run for a paint scheme for one of my Imperial Guard armies. For a reason that eludes me to this day I chose on of the biggest, and most expensive models in the Imperial Guard army to try out the paint scheme on. In the end I didn't paint more than this model's squadron in the colours - opting for another version which I had tried out on another (far cheaper) model. I posted this pic. to see what you think of the scheme. Over the years I have come to wonder if I think its good or not and can't decide - Post your own opinions in the Guestbook!

Here we have the first miniature in the Gallery of mine which I have built from scratch. This is one of the many craft which I have constructed for my new WET EPIC rules for Epic 40K. This is one of the Standard Imperial Guard Hover Craft - the Rules for which will be available VERY soon alongside the rest of the WET EPIC Units. Go HERE to see how the project is going - and get the basics for the Rules! Another view of the Craft can be seen as well as an enlarged version of this when you click on the picture!

Here we have something a little different for you. To the right you can see (hopefully) a picture of a War Hammer Fantasy Battles Black Orc Big Boss. As you should notice - the painting of this miniature is far from complete. What I am planning to do is paint this figure over the next few weeks (It will take a while to fir it in amongst all of my other projects - oh and college!) and scan him in every time I finish a section so that you can see one of my models coming to life. This should be taken not as a "How To" article but more as a "How Not To" article on miniature painting.

To View the Progress on the Model click on the image on the right which will (should) take you to a page with pictures and notes about its progress and no doubt within time all of the mistakes I make will become very clear to you all!
