Chapter 3

I found Taylor downstairs talking to his older bro Isaac. I stood in the doorway for a few moments before either of them noticed me. I heard a little of their conversation...

"So you don't think I should?" Tay asked Isaac.

"I'm not saying you shouldn't, I'm just saying you should wait." Isaac said.

Then they noticed me. I had no idea what they had been talking about. "Hey guys."

"Hey girl!" Isaac said, hugging me, as Zac had.

"Hey Ike."

"Do you need something?" Taylor asked, obviously upset to be interrupted.

"Actually, I was going to ask Ike if he and Drew wanted to come over for dinner tommorow night."

"Sure, I'll ask Drew if she has plans." Isaac said.

"Okay, well, I'll let you two get back to your conversation." I said, leaving the room.

"Okay, bye." they said in unison.

Drew is my sister, and also Isaac's girlfriend. She and I have always been really close, despite the four year age difference. She's 21, just like Isaac. We also have a 30 year old sister named Jill. She grew up away from us. Not that she didn't care about us or anything, she was just way older and had grown up before we had. She was married to a man named Jim, and had two daughters, Kristine and Caroline. Jill had raised us after our mom had been arrested. Diana had helped alot. The good memories of our mother were very vauge to me, but Jill, being 23 when she was arrested, remembered well. When mom was arrested, Jill was just about to leave to go to Princeton. But, under the circumstances, she stayed in Tulsa to raise us, and had gone to a local college. After all that, she said she didn't want kids, because she had spent her early twenties raising two obnoxious girls. But, she got Kristine and Caroline. She didn't regret them at all, but said she was going to retire the day they moved out and do something she wanted to do for a change. I didn't blame her.

I walked into the kitchen and asked Diana if she needed any help with the food. She said no.

I walked into the living room where Walker was holding Joey in one arm, and Zoe was sitting on his lap, and looking at Joey. Zoe had just turned two, and was a little monster. Well, not really, but you know how two year olds are.

Zoe heard me walk in, and turned toward me. "SOHIA!" she yelled, jumping out of her dad's lap and running toward me. I reached down and scooped her up, before she had the chance to knock me down. She was pretty strong for her age.

"Hey Zoe!" I said, looking into her big blue eyes. She looked alot like Taylor; blond hair, blue eyes, and the same nose.

She held up a chubby little hand and waved it in my face. "HI!" she squealed.

"What's over there in that blanket?" I asked her, winking at Walker knowingly.

"Baby Joey!" she yelled.

"You better be quiet Zoe, before you wake him up." Walker warned.

"Sorry, daddy." she whispered loudly. She turned back to me. "Wanna see him?" she asked.

"Sure I'll see him." I said.

Zoe hopped out of my arms, pulling me over to the sofa where Walker was sitting, holding my baby. "See!" Zoe said, her eyes getting big.

"Yeah, I see." I said enthusiastically.

"Wanna hold him?" Walker asked me.

I could tell he was sick of babysitting my kid, so I said "Sure."

I took Joey from Walker and whispered in Joey's ear, "Hey baby."

Walker picked up Zoe and headed for the kitchen. "BUH-BYE!" she yelled.

"Bye Zoe." I said quietly.

Zoe's excitement had woken Joey, and he was hungry again, I could tell. I decided to wait until later to feed him, hoping he wouldn't cry.

I looked into his eyes. "You look just like your daddy." I told him. "Did you know that?" He cooed as if he understood.

I looked up and Taylor was standing in the doorway. "Hey babe." he said.

"Hey," I said as he kissed me softly. -------------------------------------------------------
