Saknarin Chinayote (nickname Tay) was born and raised in Naan province, northern Thailand. He majored in Political Science at Ramkumhaeng University, Bangkok, where he simultaneously developed his skills in computer graphics, art coloration and web design.

Sandy Hiss’ poetry has been published in over 60 print and online journals such as Lily, Loch Raven Review, Illumen, Elimae and Zygote in my Coffee. She was nominated for Best of the Net, 2006. James Penha, a native New Yorker, has lived for the past fifteen years in Indonesia. No Bones to Carry, a volume of Penha’s poetry, has just been published by New Sins Press in the US. Among the most recent of his many other published works are an article in English Journal; fiction at East of the Web and Ignavia; and poems in THEMA and in the anthologies Queer Collection (Fabulist Flash Publishing) and Only the Sea Keeps: Poetry of the Tsunami (Bayeux Press). David Fraser likes to balance his life among a variety of activities in the areas of writing, gardening, education and sports – alpine skiing, windsurfing, tennis, golf. He is the founder and editor of Ascent Aspirations Magazine and several anthologies. “Close to the Road” previously appeared in collection, Going to the Well, 2004 ISBN 0-9736568-0-8. David’s second collection of poetry, Running Down the Wind, is now available.

Dimitris P. Kraniotis is an award-winning Greek poet and translator. He works as a Medical Doctor Specialist in Internal Medicine, is the author of 4 books of poetry and, as Founder & President of the World Poets Society (W.P.S.), the editor of “World Poet” as well as dozens of multi-lingual professional and literary magazines.

Nancy Paddock is a 2007 recipient of a SMAHC-McKnight Individual Artist Career Grant, and her book of poems “Trust the Wild Heart” was a finalist for the 2006 Minnesota Book Award in poetry. Her poems have been anthologized in numerous publications, including Warm Journal, Sing Heavenly Muse!, Milkweed Chronicle and Feminist Studies.

Kumuda Ranjan Panda is a professor at ICFAI University in Hyderabad, India. An acclaimed multilingual poet, he is a member of World Poet’s Society (W.P.S.), and his poem “Unemployment” was featured in International Poet. Geoffrey Jackson was born England, now a Danish citizen. He taught English as a Foreign Language (TESOL) at 5 universities, 2 colleges and 2 military establishments. In all, 7 countries in Europe and the Middle East. Published around 200 poems and 100 articles. Currently, Associate Editor of Fullosia Press literary magazine, NY, US.

Paul Hardacre was born in Brisbane, Australia in 1974. Since 2000, he has been  Managing Director of paper tiger media (http://www.papertigermedia.com), and new world poetry CD-ROM and e-zine editor. His first collection of poetry, The Year of Nothing, was published by Headworx (New Zealand). “Love in the place of rats (Transit Lounge)” was launched at the 2007 The Age Melbourne Writers’ Festival. Paul now lives in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Duane Locke has had over 5,000 poems published in print magazines, an additional 3,000 cyber poet e-zines and a dozen critically praised hardcover books. Also an accomplished painter and photographer, this Professor Emeritus of the Humanities was Poet in Residence at the University of Tampa for 20+ years.

S. K. Kelen is an Australian poet whose work has appeared in journals in Australia and throughout the world for over 30 years. He has a Ph.D. in Creative Writing from the University of Canberra. His most recent books of poems are Earthly Delights (Pandanus, Canberra, 2006) and Goddess of Mercy (Brandl & Schlesinger, Blackheath, 2002).

Oladipo Agboluaje was born to Nigerian parents in Hackney and educated in Lagos and Britain. He is a scholar, playwright and a regular performer at Open Mic poetry venues throughout London, perhaps best known for his highly acclaimed “God is a DJ” – a journey into sound musical performance piece.

Jennifer Compton was born in New Zealand in 1949 and now lives in Wingello on the Southern Highlands of New South Wales in Australia. She spent a month in late 2007 in residence at the Bogliasco Foundation in Italy and will take up a residency at  the Randell Cottage in Wellington, New Zealand in 2008. Her book of poetry, Barefoot, will be published in 2008 and she is working on a novel called All The Time In The World.

Thomas White has had his poetry published widely in Australia, the U.S., Canada and the U.K. His poems have also been read on Sydney and Canberra local radio. Tom is a Sci-Fi/Fantasy writer, as well, whose work has been published widely in genre e-zines worldwide.

Johannes Beilharz was born 1956 in Germany, studied in Regensburg, Germany, and Boulder, Colorado, USA (M.A. in English Literature/Creative Writing in 1981). Writer, translator, painter. Currently lives in Stuttgart, Germany. Numerous publications of poetry, prose and poetry translations in English and German since 1978, art shows in France and Germany since 2002.

Kazuyosi Ikeda is a Japanese bilingual poet and writer, publications ranging from Cyberwit.net to Taj Mahal Review. “The Insights in Kazuyosi Ikeda’s Poetry” resulted in him being selected as Poet International’s “Best Poet of the Year” in 1999. Prof. (Dr.) Kazuosi has the distinction of being a respected Professor Emeritus at Osaka University.

Zdravka Evtimova was born in Bulgaria, but now resides in Brussels, Belgium, working as a literary translator and freelance writer. Her short story collections “Bitter Sky” and “Miss Daniella” were published in the U.K. by SKREV Press, “Somebody Else” by MAG Press in the USA.

Paul Gilbert is the creative originator, publisher and guiding spirit responsible for AVANTGARDETIMES.
