NOTICE TO MONITORS
Remember Your Basic Training:
- Always be courteous
- Always give your title, call sign and unit number followed by the time of day whenever answering a call
- Tell the caller who you are going to notify (Police, EMT, Fire dept etc etc)
- Stay on the air with the caller as long as possible untill assistance arrives
- Remain Calm at all times. DO NOT YELL!
- keep the Microphone 1 -2 inches away from your mouth
- If the call is a direction request / traveller assistance call and if you don't know the directions use the online travel and weather center or tell the caller you don't know! Always be 100% sure of the directions or don't give them.
- End the call with your title/rank, callsign, unit number and the time
- Remember to log the call and send a copy to MHS
