Hi, y’all my name is Jen Shabanu Brook - Dwaliwal. My family, 12 brothers and 17 sisters, emigrated to Canada from Kansas, en route from our native homeland, Burkina Faso.
I have a very strong interest in music as I was a Pakistani pandu prodigy. I also excel in sports. My favorite sports to participate in are camel racing and curry-farting. I was the national junior champion of rat chasing and eating when I was just 6 years old.
I sincerely miss my homeland, especially my camel Guluband that I had to leave behind at US Customs because they said he had fleas. I will never forgive them for taking Guluband away from me. I haven’t tasted fleas that succulent since.
My family and I made the move to Kansas so that my father, Muhammad Shabanu Dwaliwal Singh, could chase these monsters called Tornads. The people recruited my father to help them because he is the greatest traveler in the land. Unfortunately, I am sad to report that one day, my dear father did not return. He was killed by this tornad beast when he tried to out run it on his trusty camel, Aliabawa. So my family moved here to Canada to flee this beast that took my fathers life.
I enjoy Canada very much. they are very nice people. I thank Canada for making my family feel so welcome and for giving us this wonderful piece of paper called Welfare.
