Who Is Polarity For?
Polarity is mainly for those with depression and manic-depression and their families.
What Age Group Attends Your Meetings?
Ages 18-65 attend our meetings, with the majority being 30-60 years old.The upcoming Youth group will be 16-24 years old.
How Many People Attend The Meetings?
We usually have 8-14 people attend each meeting; usually more with guest speakers.
Where and How Often Do You Have Your Meetings?
We hold our meetings weekly, every Thursday from 7 pm to 9 pm at United Survivors Support Centre,9 Bond St., W., Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.
Do You Have any Meetings for Family members and friends?
We hold family and friends meetings monthly,every first Tuesday of the month from 7 pm to 9 pm at 454 Bloor St.,E.(buzz Apt.212) ,Oshawa,Ontario,Canada.
Do you provide any information about Mood Disorders?
We provide information such as coping tips, resources lists, symptom list, mental health website list and medication information.
How Is Polarity Funded?
Polarity is funded entirely by it's members and the occasional donation from the public. United Survivors Support Centre provides us with a free place in downtown Oshawa to have our weekly meetings.The Mood Disorders Association Of Ontario & Toronto provides us with free videos and educational materials. We have fund raisers and are currently seeking funding.
