Like everyone out there, I have pet peeves that I would like the share with you. My first pet peeve is people who feel that they can come into Canada and not learn any English. I do understand that they would like to keep their own language and heritage. I think that keeping your root is great, but why can’t we also learn to adapt. During my employment at Taco Bell I had come across this everyday. I was always working at drive thru. While there, people would come up ad order. The speaker was not of top quality and so I had have people repeat themselves sometimes. Most agreed and understood my dilemma. Sometime a non English customer would drive up and order. I would have a hard time understanding their order. I would ask for a repeat. The customer would get made and say that I was being unfair. I was not trying to understand. No matter what I would say they would turn it into a racial thing. I often think to my self. Go Home! I feel the same way about my own race as well. My family would come into Canada and expect that they should have equal treatment. I tell them that the only way they can have equal treatment is if they make the same effort. I tell them that living here is not a free ride and that you have to work for that equality. I hope, now, you understand why I have this as one of my pet peeve.
Another of my pet peeve is people who can’t drive. I do however like the stereotype males have about bad female drivers. The reason for this is because I know that I am a great drives and when a male drives up next to me I can have the chance to prove them wrong. :P And how about those rich snobs with big cars and couldn’t drive it their lives depended on it.
