Australia

Here's the wing of a 747... The sun was rising just as we were approaching Sydney, this is the the result of me not knowing how to turn off the flash, and covering it with my finger. As with all of these pictures, click on the picture to get the full sized one. Plus, sadly I dont have a lot of space on this, so as I take the time to update, I might have to delete most of the pictures. Not to worry, I have the hard copies.

The beautiful beaches of Frankston. After the extensive flight and extreme lack of sleep, one would think that the first thing I'd do once I got to my final destination was take a nap. Not me... I went bodysurfing.

This is it, this is the Casa de Beach Motor Inn. Not too much to look at, but keep in mind... I'm in Australia and I just went body surfing. What do you got to say to that?

And this, is the inside of my castle. Actually not bad at all. Small stove and elements, fridge, microwave. Basically my first few days I made myself roast beef sammiches and drank beer purchased for me as a "Welcome to Australia" from two blocks I was chatting to at the electronics store.

The lovely campus, or at least part of it. Lots of eucaliptus (Im guessing on the spelling there), and several palm trees. Great buildings, small size, very lovely. No complaints. Sure beats the concrete of Guelph

Here it is. Lovely Melbourne. Probably the cleanest nicest city Ive seen (San Diego running a close second). This is the spot, it makes Frankston where I am look like a piece of garbage (and I like Frankston), but man oh man do I like Melbourne. Can't wait for the Commonwealth Games. Easy to get to as well, just 10 bucks and about an hour on the train.

Me and the clan in the casino in Melbourne. No I didnt travel around the world to gamble... we just wanted to see what it was like. And it was nice. So, that's Natalie, from Unionville, Andrew from Tazmania, and Leslie, from Pickering. Now that's what I travelled half way around the world for... to hang out with people from Pickering.

And this is what it's all about. The group shot. All the future Primary teachers, ready to learn how and why to teach. I bet you if you took that picture half way through the semester, the folks wouldnt look so happy. See if you can spot the lanky guy you've come to love. Not too tough.
