Dear Rev. Yusen Yamato,
I want to thank you and all of the supporters and participants in the Global
Peace March for honoring us and for honoring Cesar's legacy by visiting and
praying at his grave site here at La Paz.
We all must make a commitment to work for peace and for justice in our
world. Your efforts demonstrate to the word, and remind us all here at La
Paz, that there is much work to be done. You will never know the true
magnitude of the positive effects your march is havign on the many
communities you have visited and will visit while on your journey.
You and the participants of the Global Peace Now march are leading us all by
standing up and taking the right steps -- the steps towards peace and
justice for everyone. As you leave La Paz to continue on this march down
the road to justice and to sanity, I want you to know that you carry with
you my blessings and prayers, in the spirit of my husband, Cesar E.
Si Se Puede!
Helen F. Chavez
