Walked 3mi to city hall from South Tucson, walked around the Tucson City Hall Block with Tucson coordinator Mulcogi Seng carrying the US Flag, Georgette Larrouy who brought a message to carry and share from Voices from the Border, and Wave (Richard Waterbird on FaceBook) my friend since we met in 1978 and created the 1980 Long Walk for Survival Peace Pole for the White House which was retired in 2013 and replaced now by the open source Global Peace Pole design.
As a result, Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild issued his Proclamation of the Year 2018 as a Season of Unity, Harmony and Peace, shown at this link:

June 6, Added Albuquerque to Schedule on Short Notice, walked from their Center for Peace and Justice 2.2 miles to city hall and 2.2mi back, started at 88 degrees and ended at 96. Emailed Mayor for Proclamation of Unity, Harmony and Peace requesting delivery to that Albuquerque peace and justice center but their director decided they do not want to do that or support the Great Spirit Relay because they are suspicious I am misusing indigenous culture symbols for personal gain.

Had to scramble for gas money sent to me to keep going but not in time to make this date for the walk around city hall block. Mayor was emailed asking for his proclamation of a season of unity, harmony and peace, to be delivered when issued to his friend Harmon Houghton with whom I met for lunch he fixed for a few hours on my arrival to Santa Fe and on to Taos.
Friday, June 8, Taos NM, walked around city hall block and emailed mayor requesting his proclamation of a season of unity, harmony and peace. Sunday recorded a zoom meeting with Rev Yamato and Suzanne Obando of TVSB Santa Barbara Community Television. Met a man named Eagle who convinced me he had everything arranged for rainbow caravan support of my mission with gas and crew, etc, but after a week, no financing yet but lots of good contacts like Peter Koyote whose radio program I was on with Eagle talking about the Great Spirit Relay on Tuesday June12. Made new friends visiting Hanuman Ashram who wanted to join me in my RV on my way east but after this week experience I realized I need to travel alone for ability to have enough quiet time to do what I need to do online for advance scheduling arrangements, and to be free to pick up Nippashi's daughter Oceana Ren and her son to support them walking the first few days from July 11 Carter Center to King Center and on to Washington DC.

On July 11, 2018, the Great Spirit All My Relations Relay Marathon, Walk, and Caravan to the White House was initiated in Atlanta with the Ocean Lotus Peace Prayer Walk from the President Jimmy Carter Center to the Martin Luther King Center, led by the grandson (Jacob Traylor) and daughter (Oceana Ren) of the initiator of this project in 1986, the late Masao Nippashi of the Nipponzan Myohoji Buddhist Order founded by Mahatma Gandhi's "Fujii Guruji", the Most Venerable Nichidatsu Fujii whose admirers include Dennis Banks the initiator of the many Longest Walks across America, and Wave (Richard Waterbird) of the Rainbow Family of Living Light, a 1978 Longest Walk participant and key supporter and coordinator for the Great Spirit Relay. We requested in personal appearances at their offices to receive their messages to share publicly and deliver to the President from the Carter Center and King Center, Atlanta Mayor and Georgia Governor, following the example of the Tucson Arizona Mayor Jonathan Rothschild's Mayoral Proclamation of 2018 as a Year of Unity, Harmony and Peace in the community of Tucson from which Wave comes, obtained with the support of Tucson's American Flag Carrier and US Military Veteran Mulcogi Seng who is intending to join the Great Spirit Relay on its way to the White House in coming weeks. --
