ESTES  OPTIMA BUILT BY  SEAN O'NEILL ROCKET CONSTRUCTION Standard Estes construction and parachute. FLIGHTS I had many flights with the Optima and all excellent except for the last one! I decided to fit two D12-0 boosters (as can be seen in the photo above). The rocket launched fine on the first booster but then began to arc over as the second motor ignited. It was all over when the final stage came to life and the rocket was heading for planet earth! I am considering building an upscale version using a 4inch airframe.
