Overview:
       An earlier Storm Phoenix design, the Firebolt has been the main Combine scout Mech since its development, and has seen refit after refit since being built with recovered Star League technology in the Combine's early years.  Repeatedly proving its worth as a recon unit, the Firebolt is expected to remain the standard Combine scout for the foreseeable future.

Capabilities:
        The Firebolt was built with manueverability in mind, designed for little more than to carry an active probe.  A top speed of nearly 130 kph and a jump capability of 240 meters make the Firebolt well-suited for its role, and an ECM suite helps it avoid detection while performing its task.  In combat, the Mech does lack somewhat, but its laser and SRM pack give it respectable striking power against Mechs of similar weight.  What it lacks in weaponry it makes up in protection, carrying 4.5 tons of ferro-fibrous armor to protect it from enemy attacks.  Still, the Firebolt should by no means be considered a combat unit, and will rarely be seen fighting.

Deployment:
       Firebolts are deployed thinly but evenly, usually assigned one to a battalion throughout the Storm Phoenix military.
