Overview:
       House Doji's light Mech deployment has always been minimal, at best.  But when the House needed to rebuild after the Assassin War, a cheap, easy-to-produce Mech seemed in order.  Rather than choose already existing designs, Doji scientists considered it an opportunity to create a new, fairly light Mech that might give the Doji an edge. The last of the old Dragon Claw BattleMechs had been a part of the Doji Home Guard before its destruction, so scientists chose to refit the venerable design.

Capabilities:
        The salvaged chassis of the last original Dragon Claw became the first of the refitted models.  The Mech's structure was left in place, and the armor was increased by a ton.  The old engine was ripped out, replaced with an XL model that moved the new Dragon Claw at the 119 kph speed that had been intended for the original.  The weapon selection was upgraded, replacing the small SRM packs with SRM 6s, effectively tripling the amount of missiles the Dragon Claw carries.  The left-arm laser was replaced with an extended-range version, and the heat sinks were changed to double capacity.  The improvements transformed the ancient Mech into a formidable adversary, and production began soon in the same factory which had once produced the original Dragon Claw.

Deployment:
       Dragon Claws are deployed in the Doji Home Guard and both the Sahara IV Striker and Sweeper Regiments. No other Houses have shown interest in the design as of yet, but its excellent performance may be drawing attention.
