Interesting Stories

So this is the part of my website where I tell you guys about the interesting stories that happen to me.There are many bad things tha happen usually involving Norm and I.(This is vey long but very amusing)

Okay so here is the thing Norm and myself were bored before a High school basketball game which we were required to go to, but we had alot of time to waste, and we decited to go 4 wheeling at a lake by my house. It is of pretty decent size and is often fun if you want to have a good time. Well I have a small 2 wheel drive toyota pickup. It hadn't rained in a while so I said let's go before the basketball game. Norm agreed and we hopped in the truck and left.We get there and get going and there is a small puddle and I drive through it. It was fun and mud went everywhere. We continue; we drive about a mile or so around the lake, and we get to a fork in the road and my friend who knows the lake a little bit better than I mentions that one way leads out and one leads into a dead end. I say, "okay if it ends, we will just turn around and come back", he said okay, and we turn left on the road. The road got considerably narrower, and it got a lot rougher. We drive about a mile and a half around. We turn a corner and there is a giant puddle.(It was like a sub lake)Well, I'm going about 35mph, and I know I can make it through. So I proceed to drive into the massive puddle and mud goes everywhere. It was one of the most fun things I have done. Just as the puddle ends, there is a turn. I turn and there is the dead end. I could no go on even if I wanted to. So I turn around and start going, going back around the turn I lose a lot of speed and there was the puddle in all of it's glory. With our current lack of speed, we both realize that we've failed the second we hit the puddle. We quickly sink, and our tires begin to spin. We try to reverse and get out that way, however, we were unable to. We sit in the mud for a minute or two...and finally we decide that Norm should take off his jeans, shoes, and socks and push. Norm gets out and pushes with all of his might, and as we soon realize his massiveness is not enough, I get out and help to put rocks under our tires. After we have around four rocks massed under the tire, I try to drive out once more. I discover that the rocks are insufficient and have sunken deep into the bottomless puddle. I step back out into the subzero puddle, and Norm and I take a small walk back to the dead end. We see nothing to get, until Norm sees a tree that has been partially gnawed away by some sort of beaver. He graps the tree with his muddy hands and proceeds to break it the rest of the way down. Our feet by this time are freezing..numb even. Norm grabs the tree and attempts to jam it under the tire. However, the muddy bank provides to be too much of a hinderance. We walk back down to the bank of the lake and proceed to carry forty pound rocks back to the truck. We each place our rocks under the tires, attempting not to slide face-first into the puddle. I, again, get in my truck and try to drive out. Once more, our method has failed. At this time, we are both covered in mud and feet frozen. I return to the outside world, joining Norm outside, and we begin to contemplate our options/methods of returning to civilization. Norm is being an ass and won't make a decision, so I yell at him and tell him that I'm asking him his opinion. We finally agree upon a solution and begin to hastily walk out. It's rapidly getting dark as we notice massive animal prints on the ground before us. Norm looks around for a large stick to carry. He fails at finding one, and we continue are journey out of the wilderness. It's now dark and the only light we have is from planes flying above us. Our legs grow weary as we've walked around two miles already. The rest of the journey out is uphill. The first hill we encounter..is more like a sub-mountain. We see light and realize that we're almost out. We decide on taking a break whenever we reach the main road. However, whenever we reach the road, we decide that we can make it to a house. Sadly, the only houses for a mile had large dogs and/or looked like mutt locales. We decide upon going to the Marler's house, which we believe is only a mile away. Sadly, we were mistaken, and the actual distance was around two miles. We reach his house, and our spirits are high, as we have concocted a plan on our long and dangerous journey. (As Draper is full of murderous muttwacks.) Only Jedediah is at home, and he takes us to our friend Rande's house. We arrive at her house, much to her surprise. At this time, it's 7:55,and she expects us to be at the basketball game. We explain our horrendous story to her mother..who is obviously shocked. She calls Glen, her husband, who is on his way home. Glen drives a Chevrolet 3500 pickup, with an extended cab. He agrees to pull out..although he is irate. He swears at us a bit, but he comes out to be the hero of this story. We direct him to the remote place of the lake where we are stuck. Ben is again forced to strip down to his boxers, and he climbs in to the mudstricken truck as Glen erects the truck from the freezing depths, and we then proceed to drive to the car wash near our school. We reach the car wash just in time to get the truck washed and get to the basketball game to explain our predicament to Mr. King. Mr. King finds this story elaborately funny and decides to share it with the class the next day. The moral of this story is: Stay away from the god damned lake. P.S. We got out of this without my mother finding out, however, Norm's mother found this rather amusing. P.S.S. The story is not exaggerated in anyway, although I wish it was...
