Services Provided
At Mission Mid-Del I helped teach bible studies to some at-risk children. The bible studies were held at the apartment complex where the children lived. There where some risks though. Many times local gang members would attempt to break up the group, but we always returned the next week. After a short time, we became protected. We were know as "church," and older gang members prevented the other from bothering the group.The children in the complex were encouraged to join us outside, while the parents could go to the adult bible study in one of the apartments. Also, the children where provided with a loaf of bread to take to the families living there.
