Course Objectives
- To identify and understand the functioning of female and male sexual organs
- To understand the role of hormones in sexual functioning and development
- To understand the sexual response cycle and the similarities and differences between men and women
- To be aware of various techniques of sexual arousal and communication between partners
- To explore one's personal values system regarding various aspects of human sexuality
- To explore the roles of intimacy and love in human sexuality
- To increase understanding of the various factors influencing one's sexual attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors
- To identify and describe variations in sexual behavior and prevention and intervention techniques
- To identify and describe various sexual disorders and treatment strategies
- To explore various contexts of sexuality, including time, culture, religion, and the media
