[DID YOU KNOW...]

AMERICA'S SOVEREIGNTY
HANGS ON THE OUTCOME of the
IMPEACHMENT PROCEEDINGS?

"IMAGINE a BOOT STAMPING
on YOUR FACE...FOREVER"

PART II
ARE YOU YOU ALREADY
UNDER SOCIALIST RULE?

"While THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF THE GLOBAL ELITE IS A WORLD SOCIALIST
GOVERNMENT resulting from a dialectical process, currently what we are experiencing
is perhaps best characterized as 'MULTINATIONAL CORPORATISM.' Not yet SOCIALISM
(where government owns at least key industries such as rails, utilities, banking, etc.),
and not quite FASCISM (where government controls at least key industries via
regulations, etc.), 'multinational corporatism' is where large multi-national corporations
(e.g., Archer-Daniels-Midland) contribute to key politicians (e.g., Bob Dole), who ram
through legislative bodies (e.g., Congress) such things as GATT even though polls show
about 80% of the public oppose it." [1]

Although Dr. Dennis Cuddy is one of my heroes, in this case I strongly disagree
with the above statement. Granted, it may have been true at the time he wrote this, but I
also think it possible that Dr. Cuddy may have become so immersed in his very thorough
research and extremely authoritative writings on education, that he has not investigated
the list of EXECUTIVE ORDERS that have been issued so prolifically throughout this
administration [these are no longer restricted to the President - or even the executive
branch. Today, any agency can do this, the mandates of the US Constitution
notwithstanding!]. Do I REALLY believe this is a Fascist and EXTREMELY DANGEROUS
administration? You bet! Let's take a closer look at it:

"Hillary Rodham Clinton is not just co-President of the United States - SHE'S THE
REAL POWER IN WASHINGTON, D.C..." So, who is our "REAL" President? Just three
months after her husband took the oath of office [she DIDN'T], she accepted an interview
with PARADE magazine, in which she was asked to discuss the people in her life who
inspired her the most. After a bit, she was asked about her favorite writers. Her answer
tells us volumes not only about her, but also her agenda for AMERICA: In the article, she
claimed to be "fascinated" by Aldous Huxley's BRAVE NEW WORLD and George Orwell's
1984! In case you are unfamiliar with these two books, they both describe in terrifying
detail a world enslaved by a totalitarian government, consisting of a handful of
tyrannical super-wealthy elitists. Terrorism, torture, mandatory drugs, mind-control and a
government taboo on any acknowledgement of GOD are their hallmarks. In both cases,
everybody works for the government [i.e., the elite], except a small criminal element,
who are permitted to live "free" in a ghetto on the outskirts of town, because they
provide certain "services" to the state. Hillary admits that these are the books which
"MOST INFLUENCED HER POLITICAL THINKING!" [2] We are going to get back to this
little lady - along with her First Man and her cabinet in a future column!

"In essence, the masses are deprived of the individual liberties afforded them by
capitalism...[while being] subject to all of the ravages of early industrial era capitalism
such as the huge industrial monopolies, the aggregation of capital in the hands of a
small group of the elite, as well as the low pay and squalid working conditions
described in Charles Dickens' writings. These must also endure the oppressive,
brainwashing, all-seeing 'BIG BROTHER' of George Orwell's 1984. It is a new paradigm,
cloaked in the garments of a 'centrist' and a 'moderate,' proclaiming the glories of the
coming millennium, while CONCEALING THE HEART AND INTENT OF A BLOOD-THIRSTY
BEAST OF PREY." [3] Mercy! Sounds like modern-day America, doesn't it?

"The DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISTS OF AMERICA (DSA) is the largest socialist
organization in the United States, and THE PRINCIPAL U.S. AFFILIATE OF THE
SOCIALIST INTERNATIONAL. DSA's members are building progressive movements for
social change while ESTABLISHING AN OPENLY SOCIALIST PRESENCE IN AMERICAN
COMMUNITIES AND POLITICS...DSA is working with the Congressional Progressive
Caucus...The Progressive Caucus of the US House of Representatives is made up of 58
members of the House..." [4]

"DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISTS OF AMERICA (DSA), for the first time since the First
World War brought together the various splinters of left opinion in America: former
SOCIALISTS and COMMUNISTS, former OLD LEFTISTS and NEW LEFTISTS, and many
who had never been leftists at all. The decades of disunion had taken their toll. The
hundreds of thousands of Debs's day had dwindled to mere thousands. But a new
beginning now seems possible in the 1990s..." [5]

"Our military budget can be reduced substantially and permanently...I believe
that tepid cuts in military spending will produce the worst of all economic worlds -
reduced job opportunities in the current economy and no drive to pull the economy
through to the other end. We must plan a bold change, as dramatic as the changed
world circumstances that now provide us with this clear-cut opportunity...

"We have an opportunity that we have not had since the end of World War II to
REORDER COMPLETELY OUR NATIONAL PRIORITIES, redefine our foreign policy
paradigm, convert our economy and restructure our armed forces...This change will not
come easily, but the opportunity will never be as great as it is today." [6]

"...Most on welfare lack the education, job training, child care, and health care
that their middle class brethren also strive to acquire and maintain. Three-quarters of
adults on welfare will leave it for full-time employment within the next two years, albeit
for jobs at suppressed minimum wages and limited supply, thanks to monetary policies
designed to maintain unemployment just as the right wing proposes time limits on
welfare eligibility.

"Racism, sexism, and homophobia are not the only forms of oppression that both
predate capitalism and are continually transformed by it...Discrimination occurs in a
myriad of forms, and a SOCIALIST society must eradicate all of them.

"Ending environmental degradation and building a sustainable world - meeting
the needs of the present without jeopardizing future generations - require new ways of
thinking about SOCIALISM as well. The depletion of non-renewable resources such as
fossil fuels and the pollution of our air and water argue for REGULATORY
"PROTECTION"
AND MARKET INCENTIVES TO REVERSE CORPORATE AND INDIVIDUAL BEHAVIOR.
Furthermore, the victims of pollution are most often people of color and lower income
communities. Environmental protection and environmental justice must be part of a
DEMOCRATIC SOCIALIST agenda.

"Social movements have helped DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISTS to shape a broader
perspective of SOCIALISM - one that recognizes that economic change is a necessary,
but not sufficient condition for justice...The leading characteristic of the emerging global
capitalist economy is that the controlling economic institutions - the transnational
corporations - have integrated financing, production, distribution and consumption on a
global scale. They now have the capacity to function as 'STATE' institutions,
INDEPENDENT OF ANY PARTICULAR NATIONAL ECONOMY...

"...The internationalization of national economies impedes any governmental
efforts to control capital. The implications for the development and consolidation of an
INTERNATIONAL WORKING CLASS are profound. The great majority of wage and
income earners in the advanced capitalist nations will experience a long-term leveling
down of wages and living conditions - tantamount to A GRADUAL IMPOVERISHMENT of
this vast working class. In other less-developed capitalist nations, most workers will
notice little change because their wages and living conditions have never been much
above mere subsistence. Thus, 20% of the population rises in affluence, and the rest
suffer gradual or abrupt erosion of their living standards.

"The decline, however, does not translate directly into a new class
consciousness. To the contrary, the foundations of traditional working class political
culture are disintegrating. THROUGH GLOBALIZATION, CAPITAL ELUDES THE
REGULATIONS OF NATION STATES AND THUS WEAKENS THE RIGHTS OF WORKING
PEOPLE AND ERODES THEIR STANDARD OF LIVING. The movement of capital across
borders, unlike the movement of labor, is all but unrestricted. Indeed, UNDER THE
WORLD TRADE ORGANIZATION [WTO] and the NORTH AMERICAN FREE TRADE
AGREEMENT [NAFTA], LAWS PROTECTING THE RIGHTS OF WORKERS CAN BE
DEEMED
A BARRIER TO FREE TRADE.

"Yet, the dominance of trans-national corporations cannot survive alone.
WITHOUT THE GLOBAL HEGEMONY OF THE UNITED STATES, GLOBAL CAPITALISM
WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE...So the United States underwrites the NEW WORLD ORDER at
the risk of a tremendous imperial overreach that has already undermined the strength of
our national economy...An emphasis on industrial agriculture and cash crops has, for
example, resulted in the destruction of rain forests and in desertification in some
regions. The loss of biodiversity is another critical consequence of ill-conceived
development. SOCIALISTS must develop an environmental perspective that recognizes
the importance of biodiversity
while accounting for the impact of protection efforts on people's livelihoods...

"...we have almost reached the point at which the capacity of any nation-state,
even a superpower like the United States, to guarantee peace and stability is under
serious question. We are against the use of armed force for conquest or self-defense.
There is no justification for an armed force of the classic type in the world today.
Therefore, WE MUST LIMIT THIS ARMED FORCE TO A PURELY ENFORCEMENT
FUNCTION... Obviously, such an enforcement function must be directed by a truly MULTI-
NATIONAL body [i.e., a WORLD COURT]. This means we need to approach the question
of patriotism in a fundamentally new way...SUCH PEACEKEEPING IS ONE IMPORTANT
FUNCTION THAT MUST BE STRENGTHENED WITHIN A NEW GLOBAL GOVERNANCE.
ENFORCEMENT OF INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS is another. Treaties on human rights,
international labor standards, women's rights, environmental protection have all been
ratified by many nations (although generally not by the US). Enforcement remains
problematic. And with the increasing trans-national nature of corporations, new
INTERNATIONAL REGULATORY BODIES must be able to ensure that the interests of all
the world's people are protected. Such agencies may also need authority to tax
transnational corporations that are no longer subject to national taxes [Are you ready to
give up your AMERICAN citizenship - along with the US CONSTITUTION, BILL OF
RIGHTS
and the AMERICAN DREAM?]...

The fundamental task of DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISTS is to build ANTI-
CORPORATE
SOCIAL MOVEMENTS capable of winning reforms that empower people...SOCIAL
MOVEMENTS...WILL, AT TIMES, INTERVENE IN ELECTORAL POLITICS, whether through
Democratic primaries, non-partisan local elections, or THIRD PARTY EFFORTS. Our
electoral work aims at building majoritarian coalitions capable of not only electing
public officials, but also of holding them accountable after they are elected...Much of
progressive, independent political action will continue to occur in Democratic Party
primaries in support of candidates who represent a broad progressive coalition. In such
instances, DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISTS will support such Rainbow Coalition-style
campaigns.

"But electoral tactics are only a means for DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISTS; the
building of a powerful ANTI-CORPORATE COALITION is the end...THE GOAL OF THE
SOCIALIST MOVEMENT HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE ASSUMPTION OF OWNERSHIP AND
CONTROL OF THE ECONOMIC RESOURCES OF SOCIETY. Only then can class relations
be eliminated as a source of injustice and inequality. In the historic period of national
capitalism as practiced in Europe, the strategy to achieve this goal centered around the
political consolidation of wage and income earners through a working class party to
gain state power, and, then, the use of the state to achieve public ownership and control
over the economic resources of society. In the United States, this strategy was
articulated as building a broad-based anti-corporate left, a coalition of the major
progressive forces to address the needs of the majority of Americans in opposition to the
system of private
enterprise. Moreover, the DEMOCRATIC PARTY was viewed as a key arena because that
was where our natural allies were located. It was through control of the state by the
DEMOCRATIC PARTY, led by anti-corporate forces, that a progressive, Keynesian
program could be realized.

"In this new period of global capitalism, CONTROL OF THE STATE, WHETHER BY
CONSTITUTIONAL OR REVOLUTIONARY MEANS, CANNOT BE THE EXCLUSIVE ROAD
TO THE SOCIALIST GOAL [but they certainly didn't rule either of them out, did
they?]...the
road to the SOCIALIST goal must also include a transformation of the institutions of civil
society - a long march through the institutions, with a concentration on the economic
sphere in particular. This long march entails three programmatic dimensions: on a local
level, ECONOMIC DEMOCRACY; on an international level, GLOBAL SOCIAL JUSTICE, on
a national level, SOCIAL REDISTRIBUTION...[Believe me, they are not talking Robin
Hood: take from the rich to give to the poor - most of them are rich - they are talking
about taking from the middle and working classes to give to the third-world countries!]

Today, all politics is global. Either the NEW SOCIALIST MOVEMENT is imbued
from the start with the spirit of international solidarity, or it will be nothing at all.
Ironically, our new SOCIALIST project needs the global market because the market
opens up the political space for economic democracy...the basis of cooperation in the
movement for economic democracy is across borders, and must be international from
the beginning. That is why ECONOMIC NATIONALISM AND OTHER FORMS OF
TRADITIONAL PATRIOTISM ARE AN IMPEDIMENT TO THE NEW SOCIALIST PROJECT.
Today, international solidarity must be founded on an equality among the SOCIALIST
movements of each nation engaged in the same struggle against transnational capital.
This is not support work, and not solidarity work. It is work in common against a
common foe - the transnational corporations.

"At the same time, the international institutions that now exist and serve
primarily the interests of transnational capital are important arenas of struggle for a
global social and environmental agenda. These include efforts to advance social
charters in free trade agreements; to propose alternative investment strategies for the
WORLD BANK and the INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND; to strengthen the
enforcement
of existing treaties on the environment, labor standards, social policies etc.; and to
promote international standards that put social justice before corporate profit...The net
effect of these campaigns and actions should be A PROGRAM OF LEVELING UP...

"SOCIAL REDISTRIBUTION will be the focus of a movement, AIMED PRIMARILY
AT THE US GOVERNMENT, that will push for:

(1) MASSIVE REDISTRIBUTION OF INCOMEmassive redistribution of income from
the top 20% and the corporations to the bottom 80%...and

(2) A MASSIVE SHIFT OF PUBLIC RESOURCES FROM MILITARY TO CIVILIAN
USES, the main source of existing discretionary, tax-based funds...Income redistribution
and provision of social programs becomes more central to the interests of not only poor
people but the great majority of working people. The strategy of the transnational
corporations, in conjunction with the reactionary Right, starting with Reagan and
accelerating with the ascent of the Contract on America, has been the dismantling of the
LIBERAL WELFARE STATE. Defense of government programs that promote social
justice,
environmental protection and guarantee basic levels of income and well-being is an
absolute requirement for the next Left..." [7] [All of this comes straight out of the
COMMUNIST MANIFESTO]

Make no mistake about it: "DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISTS" - Hitler's party in Nazi
Germany - is nothing more than a euphamism for FASCISTS [a form of Communism].
This party is anti-CHRISTIAN, anti-AMERICAN and anti-SOVEREIGN. Keep these thoughts
in mind as we go now and meet YOUR NEW RED LEADERS [Note how many of these
names are now sitting on the Judiciary Committee]:
