  1. When I was young, there were three amusement parks in the Oklahoma City area: Spring Lake, Wedgewood, and Frontier City.   Of these, only Frontier City still exists. The park I went to the most often was Spring Lake.

    I suppose there was a connection here between driving and the bumper cars (as demonstrated by Woody Allen's Annie Hall). Referring to the highway as an amusement park may also add to the unreality which seems to be a persistent theme here.
