This is a cool feature in many websites! Navigation bar is a collection of menu items that users can click and be hyperlinked to the contents! Not only that, try the following
Mouse over each button and see the change
Click each button and see the change
Mouse over each button after the click and see again!!!!
See! The buttons react to the different user mouse actions such as mouseover and mousedown
Here's an example.
Let's get going!!!
Start |
Choose Insert >> Interactive Images >> Navigation
Bar
- O r- Click the Insert Navigation Bar button on the Object Panel |
In the Insert Navigation Bar a) Fill up Element Name: b) Select the images for c) Browse for the page to be hyperlinked and specify target Click + to add and repeat a, b & c to add another navigation item Click - to remove a navigation item |
|
Finally choose Insert Horizontally/Vertically with the help of tables to create a horizontal or vertical navigation bar Click OK |
So, you see you need a set of 4 images for each menu item! They are
Up Image - this is the pict when the page is loaded
Over Image - this is the pict when the mouse is over the button
Down Image - this is the pict when you click on the button.
Over while Down Image - this is the pict when the mouse is over the button
that has already been clicked!
In another words, a navigation bar of 5 menu items would need 5 x 4 = 20 images! Wow! that's a lot of work! Any shortcut? Yes, just use Up and Over Images and reuse the Over Images for the remaining options. In this way, you need only 5 x 2 = 10 images only!
Take note of the following points
Enjoying creating one for your page!!!
