Where did it all begin???
The Internet began in the year 1968. During a conference of the Advanced Project Research Agency (APRA) under the US Department of Defense, a blueprint for networking the main computer systems of about a dozen ARPA-funded universities and research institutions. They were to be connected with communication lines at high speed, communicating with the computers across the state. Shortly after the conference, the blueprint was materialized and hence Internet was born
Another school believe that Internet was born even before APRA. They believed that the crucial initiation was when computers were first interconnect together or involved in data networking. Subsequently the concept implemented at global level give rise to Internet

Timeline of the Development of Internet & World Wide Web
For many years, the Internet was restricted to R& D and academic institutions only. It was only till 1990 that the World Wide Web was born. It was founded by Mr Tim Berners-Lee who was then on a consulting appointment with CERN ( the European Laboratory for Particle Physics) based in Geneva.
