This is what many Americans had to use to purchase certain supplies during the the war. They were called War Ration Books filled with stamps coded meaning food, gas, etc.

After the War, he married a Oklahoma girl by the name of Eola Biggs and worked for channel 9 television station for a number of years. That was when he designed a character that symbolized the station for quite a while.You might recognise it if you are a certain age and are from Oklahoma. Later, he moved with his family to Norman Ok. and became art director to channel 13 and channel 2 in Tulsa. He had always been an artist and was featured many times at the Oklahoma Art Center. Many of his abstract paintings were shown in galleries, etc throughout Oklahoma. He even dabbled in scuplture and wood carving.

Frank Draper passed away in 1992 at the age of 73 in Norman Okla. He is survived by his two sons Mace and Chad and his wife of 47 years Eola Draper. And his grandchildren Amber, Kyle and Francis. He will always be in our hearts.
