CHAPTER THREE
I Woke Up A 7:03 Right On The Dot. I Rubbed My Eyes And Sat Up. I Noticed Taylor Still Sleeping And Stood Up And Noticed Ike Was Up. I Grabbed My T-shirt Off The Chair And Threw It On And Walked Downstairs. I Yawned As I Reached The Kitchen To Find My Mom Cooking Breakfast, My Dad Reading The Paper And My Oldest Brother Reading A Guitar Magazine. I Heard Cartoons On In The Family Room And Walked In There. ‘Mornin Girls!’ I Said To My Little Sisters Jessica, Avery And Zoe. They Were Watching Looney Tunes. ‘Good Morning Zac!’ They Said In Unison. I Sat Down Beside Jessica And Laughed At The Familiar Cartoon. ‘This Is An Old One! Wow! I See This On When I Was Like Zoe’s Age!’ I Said Remembering Sitting On The Couch With Taylor And Isaac And Isaac Saying The Same Thing But Using My Age Instead Of Zoe’s. I Smiled At The Memory. ‘Do You Girls Want Bacon Or Ham? Oh Zachary Hunny, I Didn’t Even Hear You Come Down! Do You Want Some Breakfast?’ My Mom Said Standing In The Doorway In Her Pyjama’s And Housecoat. ‘Yeah Sure Mom! I’d Like Bacon Please!’ I Said. The Girls Told Her What They Wanted And She Exited Back Into The Kitchen. My Mom Always Made A Big Breakfast. ‘Zac Hunny! Could You Please Go Wake Taylor Up For Me? He Wanted Up At 7:15!’ She Asked From The Kitchen. ‘Yeah Mom No Problem!’ I Got Up And Walked Out Of The Family Room And Up The Stairs. I Opened The Door To Our Bedroom And Turned The Light On. ‘Tay Dude! C’Mon Get Up It’s 7:15!’ I Said Push My Trundle Bed Back Under His. He Opened His Eyes And Sat Up. We Were All Great At Getting Up Now Because Of Touring. Tay Stretched And Yawned. ‘Why Do You Want Up This Early?’ I Asked Leafing Through My Half Of The Closet. ‘Lauren Wants To Go On A Nature Hike. She’ll Be Here In Like 20 Minutes. I’m Just Throwing A Hat On, There Is NO Way Im Showering Then Hiking! That’s Insane!’ He Sat Getting Up And Making His Bed. I Laughed. ‘Well You’re Braver Then Me! The Only Nature Hike I’d Go On Is In The Tree Reserve!’ I Said Picking Out A Transformer’s Shirt. Tay Walked Around The Room Picking Shorts And A T-shirt Off The Floor And Grabbing His Green Bay Packer’s Hat Off The Dresser Before Walking In The Bathroom. I Grabbed A Pair Of My Own Shorts Off The Floor And Went Into The Bathroom In Our Parents Room. They Needed They’re Own Bathroom Having 7 Kids. I Got Dressed And Tied My Hair Back. I Walked Back Downstairs And By-Passed The Kitchen To My Little Brother’s Room. He Was Of Course Still Asleep But He Had My Hat. I Grabbed It And Tried Not To Wake Him. He Had Been Up Late So I Knew He Would Be Tired. I Threw My Hat On And Walked Back In The Kitchen Just As Taylor Did. My Mom Was Setting The Table. I Sat Down In My Usual Spot. My Dad Folded Up The Paper And Put It On The Floor Beside Him. ‘Smells Awesome Mom!’ Ike Said As She Placed A Plate In Front Of Him. She Smiled. ‘Thanks Hunny! Jessica! Avery! Zoe! C’Mon Girls!’ She Said At The Doorway Of The Family Room. They Jumped Up And Ran In. ‘Zac And Tay Please Take Your Hats Off At The Table?’ My Dad Asked. He Didn’t Like Hat’s Being Worn At The Table, I Personally Didn’t See A Problem, I Mean It Keeps Hair From Flying Around But I Tried Arguing My Point Once Before And Got My Playstation Revoked For 2 Weeks So I Took My Hat Off. Taylor Did The Same. ‘Where Are You Boys Off To Today?’ He Asked Taking A Forkful Of Food. ‘Im Going On A Nature Hike With Lauren, She Reallys Wants To See It So I Told Her I’d Go!’ Tay Said Taking A Drink Of His Orange Juice. ‘Well That Sounds Nice!’ Mom Said With A Smile. ‘What Are You Up To Zac?’ Ike Asked. Sometimes He Acted Like Such A Parent. ‘I Have Nothin Planned! But That Fair Opened Today So Dyl And I’ll Prolly Check It Out!’ I Said With A Mouthful Of Egg. ‘THERES A FAIR?’ Avery Squeeled. My Parents Looked At One Another. ‘Maybe If You Girls Are Good And Do All Your Chores Mommy And I’ll Take Yawl Later!’ My Dad Said Smiling. He Was Such A Big Kid. He Loved Stuff Like That. ‘YES!’ Jessica And Avery Said Together. ‘YES!’ Zoe Said Late. She Didn’t Really Understand What She Was Doing But Jessica And Avery Did It So She Had To. We All Laughed And Zoe Sunk Into Her Chair. ‘Hey…Why Didn’t Anyone Wake Me Up?’ Mackenzie Said Standing In The Kitchen Rubbing His Eyes With His Hair Sticking Up Everywhere. ‘Well You Stayed Up Late Last Night So I Figured You Were Tired! Don’t Worry, Momma Put Some Aside For You, I Didn’t Forget About Ya!’ My Mom Said Standing Up And Getting It For Him. He Sat Down Beside Me. She Handed Him A Plate And He Dug In. ‘Well I Gotta Go!’ Tay Stated As The Doorbell Rang. He Put His Empty Plate In The Sink. ‘Bye Guys!’ He Said Kissing My Mom’s Cheek. ‘Bye Tay! Have Fun!’ My Dad Said. I Finished Up. ‘I Better Go Call And See If Dylans Up!’ I Said Putting My Sink In With Taylors. I Went Back Upstairs Upstairs And Into Our Room. I Picked Up The Cordless And Dialed Dylans Number. ‘Hello?’ I Heard From The Other End. ‘Hey Butch!’ I Said Smiling As I Sat Down On Tay’s Bed. ‘Hey Hanson!’ She Said Kinda Laughing. ‘Wanna Check Out The Fair Today?’ I Asked Her. ‘Sure! Gimme Like, An Hour! I Gotta Shower I Smell!’ She Said. I Could Just Tell She Was Walking Around Her House In Flanel Pants And A Hanson Shirt. That Was Her Normal Nighttime Attire. ‘Good! I Don’t Wanna Smell You! I’ll Be There In About An Hour!’ I Said Standing Up. ‘Alright! See Ya!’ She Said. I Said Good Bye And Hung Up.
