+Chapter 2+
We Arrived At The MGM Grand In Las Vegas To A Lot Of People Waiting For Us. We Felt Bad Because We Didn't Have Enough Time To Sign Autographs. The Tour Started Here, Tonite, In About 3 Hours. 3 Hours May Seem Like A Long Time But When You Still Have To Rehearse Get Your Stage Hair And Makeup Done As Well As Get Dressed, 3 Hours Is No Time At All. Laura And I Had Agreed That I Would Do Hair An Makeup First Because I Had To Call Travis From Blink 182 Before We Went On Stage. The Party Is Tonight And We Just Had To Confirm. We Did A Quick Rehersal And Then Ran To Our Dressing Rooms. "Guys Calm Down, We Still Have 2 Hours!" Adam Said Looking At His Watch. He Knew Usually We Took Our Time And We Were Usually Late. "Yeah But Dude Tonites The First Show!" Laura Said Covering My Ass. I Sighed With Relief That She Caught It. Before He Could Comment We Entered Our Joined Dressing Rooms. There Was A Small Room In The Middle Where Our Makeup Artist Would Do Our Make As Our Hair Was Getting Done. The Reason We Had To Take Turns Was Because We Always Brought Our Own Hair And Make Up Girls No Matter Where We Went And We Only Trusted The One Make Up Girl We Had, As Well As One Hair Girl. They Knew Us Better Then Anyone Else Ever Could. I Sat Down In The Chair And Explained To Both Of The How I Wanted It. "Im Thinkin Because Itz The First Show I'll Go More Glam With My Make Up And I've Been Wanting To Try Those Twisty Partial Dreads!" I Told Anna And Melanie. The Nodded And Anna Began Looking Through Her Makeup Box For "Glam" Make Up And Melanie Got To Work Wetting, Gelling And Twisting My Hair Into Little Pieces. The Finished Project Looked Really Nice And I Thanked Them For Doing Such A Great Job. Laura And I Thanked Them Everytime As If It Was Our First. We Always Bought Them Little Gifts Too To Show Our Appreication. They Had Both Taken A Chance On Us By Quiting They're Jobs To Come With Us All Over The World. No One Knew How Reality Would Do, But They Had Faith In Us And I Think That's Partially Why We're Where We Are Today. I Jumped Out Of The Chair And Into My Dressing Room. Our Wardrobes Had Been Sent Over About A Week Ago And Laid Out Nicely For Us So For The 4 Nights We Were Playing Here We Could Easily Pick Out Our Outfits. I Decided On Something Glam But Simple. A Black Thick Strap Tank With "Rockstar" Studded Across It And Matching Black Pants That Had The Same Silver Studs Down The Side. They Had A "Rockstar" Emblem On Top Of The Fly As Well. I Dressed Quickly And Picked Up The Phone. I Pulled A Piece Of Paper Out Of My Purse And Dialed. "Hey Travis! Itz Lynds Whats Up?" He Had Given Me His Cell Number In Case They Werent At The Hotel. "Not Much, We Actually Just Got To The Hotel. Were In The Lobby Right Now!" They Had Decided On Staying At "New York, New York" Because Its Right Across The Street So They Were Close But My Brother Wouldn't See Them. "Awesome. Okay So We Have The Set List Set Up So At 8:15 I'll Be Singing The Song I Wrote For Adam And He Helped Set Up The List So He Knows, He Loves The Song So I Know When I Sing That He'll Stay, So You Don't Have To Worry About Him Seeing You In The Lobby Or Anything. So 8:15's A Good Time To Come In. Iz That Alright With Yawl?" I Crossed My Fingers. "Yeah Of Course! Good Plan! Didya Think That Up All By Yourself?" He Joked. I Laughed. "Listen Smartass…Another One Of Those And No Free Food!" Laura And I Had Met Travis, Tom And Mark About 6 Months Ago And Travis And I Shared A Deep Intrest For Drums As Well As A Sense Of Humour So We Just Hit It Off Immediately. "Oh I'll Get My Free Food!" He Said. I Laughed Again. "Okay So The Show'll Be Over About Ten Or Quarter To And I Still Dunno How Were Gonna Get Adam In The Party Room But We'll Think Of Something!" I Said. That Was One Flaw I Hadn't Worked Out. "Yeah You Will! We'll See Ya Then! Good Luck With The Show By The Way!" He Knew It Was Our First On The Tour! "Thanks! Okay I'll See Ya Afterwards! Bye!" We Hung Up. I Walked Back Into The Make Up Room And Stood In The Doorway. "How Do I Look?" I Asked. "Absolutly Glamourous Darling!" Laura Said Sitting The Chair. She Had Gone For A Similar Glam Look With Her Makeup But A Simplilar Hairstyle. She Had Melanie Do It Where Every Piece Sticks Out At The Bottom. She Suited This Style And Did It A lot On Stage. When She Was Finished She Went Into Her Dressing Room Do Decide On An Outfit. Adam Knocked On The Door. "Half An Hour Girls!" He Said Opening The Door. He Was A lot Like A Stage Manager For Us. He Was Better Then Anyone We Could Have Hired. Laura Came Out About 10 Minutes Later. "Girl You Look H-O-T! Hot!" I Said. She Smiled. "Thank You Dahling, Thank You!" She Had Decided Apon A Custom Made Outfit. It Was Blue Pants And A Pink Shirt That Said, "You Are Our Reality" On It In Blue. We Always Told Our Fans That And Laura Loved To Get Photographed In It. We Wanted People To Know That We Know Were No One Without Them. We Got On Whatever Jewlery We Were Going To Wear And Opened The Door. We Walked Down The Hallway To The Stage Door Entrance And We Could Already Hear People Screaming. We Had "Admiral Twin" From Tulsa Opening Up For Us. I Had Seen Them In Concert In 1998 And Laura Had Heard Them On The Radio And We Had Bought They're CD And Just Fell In Love With Them So We Asked Them To Open Up For Us On The "Surreal" Tour. They Were So Nice And Agreed To It. "AT Iz Jus Finishing They're Last Song And Then 10 Minutes And Itz Show Time!" Adam Said Smiling At Us. "You Girls Look Great!" He Said Giving Up Each A Hug. "And I Know You'll Do Great!" He Looked At Us Like He Was Very Proud Of Us. Just Then We Heard Jarriod Gollihare From Admiral Twin Say, "ARE YOU GUYS READY FOR A REALITY CHECK?" And The Whole Place Just Broke Into Screams. We Giggled. "I Love That!" I Said Gushing. The Guys Came Off Stage And Our Mics And Stuff Started To Go Out. I Had A Blue Mic And Laura Had A Pink One. We Had Special Ones For Our Solo's Too. I Sang A Song To Adam Always That I Had Written Just After The First Album Was Released Its Called, "Without You" And Laura Sang One She Wrote Called, "For You" It Was Written For Her Whole Family. These Songs Meant A lot To Us. "2 Minutes Girls!" Our Manager Said Walking Past Us. We Got To The Edge Of The Stage Door And Just Heard Screams As The Lights Went Out. We Opened The Door And Ran Out On Stage At The Exact Moment The Lights Came On. Its Gotta Be The Biggest Rush When Those Lights Go On And Everyone Screams For You. Itz Incredible.
