LITTLE TECHNIQUES LITTLE HINTS

The question is not what you look at, but what you see.

Henry David Thoreau

Fron Aiante a little  linguistic loop:

Our deeds determine us, as much as we determine our deeds.

Marian Evans

Fron Aiante: a little linguistic example of the "AS IF" technique

"Treat people as if they were what they ought to be, and you help them to become what they are capable of becoming." -

Fron Aiante: a Self Hypnosis Technique

Betty Erickson's Self Hypnosis Technique

The technique described is attributed to Elizabeth (Mrs. Milton) Erickson. This technique has been presented with a number of variations.

This is a part of the Technique: the complete Technique is learned in our courses

The Betty Erickson's Self Hypnosis

(a part of the Technique)

  1. Find a Comfortable Position -
  2. Time - Determine the length of time that you intend to spend.
  3. Purpose -  your purpose in going into self hypnosis.
  4. Exit - Make a statement to yourself about the exit.
  5. The Process - Looking in front of you, notice three things  that you see.
  6. Now turn your attention to your auditory channel and notice, one by one, three things that you hear.

Next, attend to your feeling and notice three things sensations that you can feel.

Continue the process using two Visuals, then two auditories and then two kinesthetics.

In the same manner, continue with one of each.

You have now completed the "external" portion of the process. Now it's time to begin the "internal" part.

    Close your eyes.
