These are the warnings that are used in only, to my knowledge, GW fanfiction. I am also going to use these warnings in the Digimon fanfiction. (I don't know if they use these warnings in Digimon fanfic, too. I've rarely read Digimon fics.) I know some people might not like these warnings, because they feel it might give the story away, but I feel like people should know what they're getting into before they read a story. For instance, if a person doesn't like yaoi, they should at least be warned beforehand if they might be reading a yaoi fic.
These warnings will not give away the story, I just want people to know what type of story they will be reading.
Oh, and one last thing, for people who know what deathfics are, I probably won't put that warning on, because I feel that knowing a person dies in the story ruins it.
Applies to both Digimon and Gundam Wing: Shounen ai: romantic interest between two young men
Shoujo ai: romantic interest between two young woman (name+name)
Yaoi: Male/male sexual relationship
Yuri: Female/female sexual relationship(name
Het: non-yaoi, non-yuri, heterosexual relationship
AU: Alternate Universe. This can mean the story is set in a totally different world than the world of GW or that some changes have been made in the AC timeline. I use the AU warning only for when the story isn't in the AC timeline. (I think stories that disregards Endless Waltz aren't AU)
Angst: Just what it means. Intended to make the reader sad.
Sap: Cavity forming sweetness, or loads of romance
Fluff: Intended to make the reader happy. No angst at all.
OC: Original Character
Self-insertion: I make me a character in a story
OOC: Out Of Character. If Trowa is talking more than Duo and Heero is a social butterfly, then they are OOC.
Lemon: A graphic sex scene
Lime: A not so graphic sex scene. Less detailed than a lemon.
Citrus/Orange: Lighter than lime. There may be sex, but there isn't that much of a description of it, or it doesn't go far enough to reach sex.
NCS: Non-Consensual Sex. Any story with rape. If there is only a mention of NCS, I will not have this warning.
Applies only to Gundam Wing fan fiction:
Most of Gundam Wing's main characters have numbers for names. We use these numbers to represent the different characters. Names:
Heero Yuy = 1
Une means one and she has two personalities so = 11
Duo Maxwell = 2
Trowa Barton = 3
Quatre Rebarba Winner = 4
Wufei Chang = 5
Zechs Merquise = 6
Trieze Khushrenada = 13
(For those characters who don't represent a number, their initials are used)
Dorothy = D
Relena = R
Hilde = H
Catherine = C
The plus (+), times (x) and slash (/) signs are used to determine the status of a relationship in a story. The + is basically a relationship minus the hormones (meaning: no sex). Ex: 1+R
The x means a relasionship that is sexual. Ex: 13x5 (this is also a yaoi couple)
The slash means that the couple starts out as friends but progress to be something more. Ex: 3x4/4x3 or 3+4/4+3
(note: the character whose number is first is the agressor of the couple.)
