The Calendar came about through the suggestions among the great group of people at the "Official Dalmatian Message Board". The people there enjoy talking about their Dals and, among other things, sharing photos. On several occasions when a really great pictures are posted, there has been the comment of "This is Calendar Material!" And after some nagging (thanks Jan) we all realized that it might be a good idea to make a Calendar, with the photos of our beloved dogs.
The Calendar has expanded from this original idea, to include Dalmatian photos from around the world. It has also become a fund raiser for The RockySpot Rescue, a wonderful Rescue in Oklahoma. Theresa Monnard, with a handful of fabulous volunteers, rescue, rehabilitate and adopt out scores of dogs as well as provide counseling for owners of Dalmatians, bringing them in contact with hundreds of dogs every year.
The Calendar will consist of collages taken from contibuted photos. EVERY Dalmatian submitted is included in the calendar. The cover is dedicated to the Dalmatians from RockySpot.
