The Cat Who... Companion This book is the ultimate resource for Cat Who fans. Last updated in November 1999, it includes every character, every place name, and every home Qwill's ever lived in for the first 21 books in the series. Can't remember who Lenny Inchpot is? He's on page 94. Want to know all the women in Qwill's life? Chapter 8. How about an alphabetical listing, by name, of all the other animals, besides Koko and Yum Yum? It starts on page 135. And if you'd just like a visual of Moose County, there are a couple of handy maps in the front of the book. For me, though, one of the most interesting features is the interview with author Lillian Jackson Braun. In it, we learn how she first conceived of the idea for Qwilleran, Koko and Yum Yum, why she started writing the series and then quit for 18 years, and why Qwill moves so frequently. And, if you want to know why Qwill's first typewriter was missing the letter e, or why Polly Duncan suddenly gets a sister in Cinncinnati, you'll find it there as well. Anyone who reads the Cat Who series will want this book. And anyone who doesn't read the series should start.
