A legend awakes,
with God's speed and precision.
A man of strategically minded decisions.
Embraced by a harness he carried the way,
to victory, fanhood, fortune and fame.
At speeds of much measure his wins came much greater,
then everyone called him the Intimidator.
With steadfast prestige he gained wins with each ride,
and still just a man who had kids and a wife.
Who loved him sincerely along with his fans,
a husband, a father, a true champion.
With sweetest of sorrows and truest regrets,
Our Champion, for sure, we will never forget.
The Unsung Hero that he came to be,
upon the wheels of a car number three.
An untimely death within a great race,
in one final lap a man meets his own fate.
On victory lane a winner shall stand,
as fate fills a seat in heaven's grandstands.
Now Earnhardt finds spirit in each driver's heart,
with each engine roaring of gentlemen's start.
As wind grace the chassis of each racer's fate,
a legend above will watch over each race.
Dale Earnhardt we love you and we'll miss you so,
a legend in racing that will never go.
