About Our Classroom

Our classroom is a Model Technology Classroom. What does that mean? It means we have lots of "neat stuff" that on one else in the school has. This program was made possible from a proposal through the State Department. We received two computers, a scanner, a color printer, an Averkey, a 27" color television, a digital camera, and lots of software for our class.

So, now that we have all this "neat stuff", what do we do with it? For starters, we use it for our curriculum. We use different computer programs to teach the curriculum. A lot of our lessons come from whole class instruction through the "computer television". The students absolutely love it.

About Our Teacher

Hello and welcome to my classroom web site. I teach second grade at Madison Elementary in the Oklahoma City Public School District. This is my fourteenth year teaching. I started out at Capitol Hill Fifth Year Center. I was there for three years until the District decided to put the fifth graders back at the elementary schools. I then went to Madison Elementary as a fourth grade teacher. After two years I had the opportunity to move to the second grade and I absolutely love it. I have been there ever since.
