"Hey Mands?" Jessica whispered, stepping into the room. I was laying on my bed, my mind racing with lyrics from an old Hanson c.d. I was soo tired, so hung-over. I spent the night past two nights partying with Lana and her wife. Even though her wedding was two days ago, she still acts as if she wants to relive the party for the rest of her days. She was too happy to notice everyone was in pain.
"Hm?" I groaned, wondering why anyone wanted to disturb my granted peacefulness. I thought of that, and couldn't stop myself from thinking of Taylor. He got up bright and early today, with what I think was a slight hangover from last night. He partied with us, but only had three beers, that was enough to knock him dead. I remember it was early, about four this morning, when he rolled over and kissed my lips, whispering to me where he would be and when he'd be back. He touched my cheek and left, probably thinking I wasn't awake to feel his soft touch. Nothing, when I'm hung-over, could wake me up, nothing but Tay that is.
Jessica tiptoed her way over to the bed, knowing I wasn't feeling well. She took a deep breath and sat on the end of the bed, pressing the back button on my c.d, so the song "Save Me" restarted. I smiled slightly, and turned over, facing her. My eye sight was some what blurry, but I could make out that fact that she had a pink flushed pace, her eyes soaked with tears of sweat. She had been busy, awfully busy if you ask me.
"Can I ask you something?"
"Sure." I told her, turning my gaze toward my pillow, resting my head.
"Mike asked me to marry him last night." I wanted to gag, what the hell was he high on? This girl is only fourteen!
"What?"
"I said yes." she told me.
"Your crazy!" I shrieked, thanking god I lived with Taylor. No one was home, Ike was at his house, and Zac was at the recording studio with Tay working on a song. "You can't marry him! Mom and Dad would kill you!"
"I know Mandy, that's where you come in." Jessica whispered, tears of joy streaming her face. I don't see why she'd be crying from happiness, she was only fourteen, no way could she be in love. Ohmigod Amanda, look at what your saying, I told myself, you were in love at fourteen, and your still in love now. What makes you think Jessi isn't in love?
"Jess.." I tried to reason with her, sitting up in my bed. "You can't be serious."
"Why can't I? You and Taylor were in love when you were fourteen, and now your engaged. Why can't I have that?" she quizzed me, knowing I wasn't being logical. I knew, deep down that I wasn't be logical, but being logical isn't the factor.
"Because, it doesn't always happen this way! Jessica, I think you guys need to talk. Why don't you just be engaged until you graduate high school? Thats what Tay and I did." I told her. She stood up, walking toward my window. I watched tears fall from her cheeks, wondering what it felt like to be her at that very moment. Could she possibly be feeling the way I was feeling years back? Could she possibly be feeling the way I'm feeling at this very moment, for Taylor? Could anyone?
"We have to get married." she whispered.
"No you don't, why do you think that?" I asked her. She turned toward me, her eyes piercing into mine.
"Mandy, promise not to tell anyone?" she tested me. Uh-oh, I wanted to say, I can't promise anything.
"Mm." I replied, hoping I could use an 'mm' as a maybe, just incase I'm in need of future reference. I kept eye contact with Jessica as she walked toward the bed, to sit down. She had her eyes trying to speak to me without words, but my head was so foggy from last night, I couldn't understand her. I reached for her hand as she neared a full sitting position on the bed. "What's up Jess?"
"I'm late." Oh no!
"You had sex with him?" I asked her, trying to hide my shock.
"Why wouldn't I of? You screwed Taylor when you were fifteen." she told me. I laughed, ah that was the day. I remember now, why I kept Lana around, because she let me and Taylor do our 'thing' that day in her house. No one spoke about it since, but we all remember it as clearly as day. The dream...that is.
"That was different. It was a final thing, because we knew that we would never have gotten the chance." I told her, truthfully. That was my story, and I'm sticking with it. We had to sneak, and we both felt bad enough as it was having to do so, so why not take action of the moment never to be found again for three years?
"Well..." she trailed off. What could she say? "Manda, I thought of all people, you would understand me." I shook my head.
"Why? What's going to happen if you end up pregnant for sure? Did you take a test? Are you going to keep it? What about Mike? Do you think, deep in your heart he'd stay with you and support the baby?" I wanted to cry. One moment of passion threw her entire high-school down the drain, or atleast it was working on it.
"No." she told me, choking on her tears.

Zac sat, staring in front of him. He was trying to make Taylor feel as bad as possible for snitching on him and Magenta, even though it wasn't that bad. It's not like he loved Magenta anyway.
"Zac? C'mere!" Taylor called, walking back into the beverage room. He instantly saw his brother, just gazing into space, he knew someone had hurt Zac, but that someone wasn't him. Tay wouldn't put his brother through that, not after he went through it himself. "Zac, stop drooling into space, I need you to look atleast half-way decent. We have a new sound check static machinery guy today."
"Oh?" Zac said, not bothering to move. Taylor sat next to him, leaning over, his elbows resting on his thighs, his hands clasped together between his knees. His layered blonde hair was wildly placed, the part messed.
"Please don't be mad at me Zac, I didn't do it. I wouldn't make you go through that. It's not fair that anyone should go through that."
"I know." Zac replied, getting up. He wasn't about to talk about it any further then he wanted. "So, who is this knew guy Ike came up with? God, you'd think that we'd know what goes on around here, c'mon, we're on our own record label!" Taylor laughed at his brother, knowing that maybe Zac wasn't as mad as he acted.
"No shit huh? Um, I dunno. His name is Dave-Lee Triston, I think Ike said he was about eighteen or so. Just graduated from the high school. I don't know much about the guy, or anything about it in general." Taylor stated, reaching into his pocket and pulling out two dollars. Quietly, he popped the bills into the soda/water machine and received his soda. "You wanted Mountain right?" Mountain was sort for Mountain Dew, there was no reason why anyone had to say Mountain Dew all out, or atleast thats the way the Hanson family figured it to be.
"Sure." Zac replied, raising his hands to catch the soda bottle that was being chucked toward him. "Did you ask Ike if he was coming down or not today? We need to go over group lyrics, don't we?" Taylor smiled, seeing a figure step in the doorway, but seeing he was tilting his head back to drink, he couldn't make out who it was.
"Dunno. I didn't ask." he mumbled, licking his lips clean of water droplets, for his he was to be singing today, soda would make his voice dry and low. Not what he needed. Taylor turned to double-check the person in the door, but when he turned, he felt himself being sprayed.
"Shit. Tay, back up!" Zac laughed, his soda had exploded on him. Taylor rolled his eyes, taking the soda bottle that was leaking and holding it at arms length.
"Moron. Figures you'd do that. I didn't even shake it." Tay scolded his brother.
"That was price-less!" a high voice giggled. The brothers turned toward the doorway, both confused as to who it could be. "Beautiful, a classic Kodak moment." It was a girl, and neither Zac nor Taylor could hide the shock of the fact. She was tall and thin, rounded to pure perfection, she, from what Zac could see, had crystal blue eyes that seemed softer due to her straight brown hair. Her face was a fragile color, soft brown freckles accented her high cheek bones. She was quite pretty, and they both knew it.
"Are you suppose to be here?" Taylor questioned, knowing that you had to get through them to get into the main building of their recording studio.
"Yes, I am," she smiled to the dumb-struck boys. "I'm Dave-Lee Triston."
"No shit?" Zac inquired. "Are you sure?" he had to ask, just to double check. Once or twice fans would somehow find out about important people, and would use those names to get into the recording studios to finally meet their Teen- Heartthrobs.
"Mm, I am. I prefer Davey though. Isaac told me to have you call him incase you didn't believe me."
"So you've met Ike?" Taylor said, wiping at his shirt with his other sweat shirt. Wonderful, he thought to himself, that shirt was brand-new, Mandy gave it to me freakin yesterday. Damnnit Zac.
"Yes, last night we talked. He said he thought I'd be good for this album." she said, handing Zac and Taylor a couple of tissues from her purse.
"No shit?" Zac said again, repeating his last words. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't keep his eyes off of her. She was gorgeous, quite the sight to see. Davey turned toward Taylor, raising an eyebrow.
"Is that all he can say?" she asked, laughing. Tay smiled at her, still frantically trying to wipe off his shirt.
"When he's dumb-founded, yes. Its a second nature to him now."
"Taylor!" Zac shot, gazing back at his brother. "That's not true, I don't take after my older brother like that." he said, reaching toward Davey. They were about the same height, but with her heels she was an inch or two taller then him. "Why don't we leave Taylor to clean up his mess, and go get started?" he touched her arm, gripping her, guiding her toward the doorway.
"Um, Zac, don't you mean you need to stay to clean up your mess?" Taylor asked his brother. Davey laughed, becoming instant friends with Taylor. She knew he was with me though, and knew when to back off.
"Your soaked too." she told Zac.
"Mmm, not yet." he laughed semi-seductively, trying not to acknowledge the fact that his brother growled and rolled his eyes. "Let's get started." Davey giggled, and allowed herself to be led by the gorgeous eighteen year old Hanson boy.
