Zac paced his bedroom, he was waiting for Davey to come, she's late. Where could she be? She couldn't possibly be mad about what happened two days ago! They did plan to meet at his house, but she's two hours later.
"Dude, call her." I told him, looking away, finally, from my internship requirements. The Tulsa Times has decided to take me up on my job offer, but on an intern level. I can do everything I use to do in Switzerland. Even after my newspaper faxed them with all my past achievements, it still wasn't enough to bring me to full-priority over the paper. Damn, and to make matter worse, I got a call from the magazine company, they don't want me anymore 'cz I no longer live in Switzerland, and they needed someone 'real' to do the job. Gag, how stupid!
"Go back to your work." Zac replied, his eyes piercing mine.
"Hey, buddy," I said, standing up to him, "Just because Taylor isn't around to hold me back doesn't mean I won't try to kick your ass." I teased. We've always beaten up on each other, but then more then now. It'll probably be weird, seeing he's all grown up, Well.. I am still older then him, so maybe we aren't all grown up.. not yet atleast.
"Is that a threat?" he shot, gazing down at me. Hey, I can't help it if I'm not exactly Taylor height, but I do out-stand Ike, who is now 1 and 3/4 inches shorter then Zac. I'm an average girl, but yet, so is Zac. Teasing, I'm just teasing! Ah he loves me, he knows it.
"Nope," he looked hurt, "its a promise." I shoved him, and he stumbled back, bearly grazing the coffee table where all my work lay. He looked at me, a smirk on his face, his eyebrow raised high above ark. What a geek! "See, don't push it." I told him, standing strong.
"Excuse you." he told me, stepping toward me, his eyes laughing at me. I followed suit in return of his gaze, and stepped forward.
"Try me." I told him, laughing. I can never keep a straight face around him, who could? It's Zac!
"Dude, don't dare me." he poked my shoulder, hard, with his pointer finger.
"Oww! That hurt!" I shrieked, grabbing my shoulder and doubling on to the floor. The rug was quite rough, and I almost regretted starting this mess.
"Did I hurt you, seriously?" Zac kneeled next to me, rolling me into my back. I was laughing so hard, tears fell from my eyes, and he actually thought I was crying? Am I really pulling this off, I smiled to myself. "Mandy? Hello?" he straddled his left leg over my body, sitting on my belly. His calves were on the floor, and he tried his hardest to pull my hands from my face.
"No! Leave me alone!" I screamed, trying to fight him off, feeling his weight immense on my rib-cage. God, I wanted to cry to him, get off of me! He was some heavy, well for me anyway.
"Excuse me? Zac?" It was Davey. I stopped struggling and looked at Zac through my fingers. My body was sweaty and my face was wet with tears.
"Davey?" Zac whipped his head around, still sitting on me. "Oh," he suddenly realized he was still on top of me, and he rolled himself off, quickly standing up. "She was.. hey, she started it." he stated, pointing a blaming finger down at me. I spread my knees and glared up at Davey, I was having fun!
"Don't blame me." I giggled, pushing my hair from my face as I stretched my arm out to grab Zac's leg for support. I tugged on my pant leg, and he turned, offering me a hand. "I have to get back to work now, I'll leave you two alone." Wow, this feels weird.
"I hope you don't. When I was standing outside for ten minutes buzzing the door-bell, two visitors came to see you, there in the hallway, if you don't mind." Davey told me, sarcasm ragging in her tone. Oooh and I didn't like it, not one bit. We were having fun, so where does she get off with that attitude.
"Oh, fine, thank you." I told her, kill her with kindness! I smirked at Zac and retreated to the coffee table to gather my reports before I headed to meet my visitors. "I'll be back, behave Zac. No poking!" I giggled, punching him in the arm and dodging behind Davey. She gazed evilily between Zac and I, but only I noticed it, I could see through jealously so easily, but I guess Zac was blind. Don't you think?
"Yea yea, get outta here." Zac rolled his eyes, sharing with me a secret smile before I walked to the main hallway. "So, where were we?" Zac laughed, I heard him telling Davey, right before she giggled. I almost turned around, but then I peaked the corner of the hall way before I could even double think it.

I turned my head, and my eyes grazed a familiar girl. It was Carmen. What was she doing here? How does she even know where I live? "Hello." I said, hugging my work to my chest, hoping I look quite casual to them. I think my anxiousness of fun was starting to wear off, although I could still feel my face burn with blazing adventure.
"Mandy!" Carmen screamed. This girl, I thought to myself, there's something about her. Something.
"Hey Carmen," I looked up, noticing a friend. An older friend. "Hello?.." Who could this be?, I asked Carmen with my eyes.
"Oh, Mandy, I want you to meet my older sister, December. She's Twenty-Four isn't that cool?" Carmen was a quick leaner alright, damn.
"Hi, I'm December." The girl stepped infront of her sister and outstretched her hand to me. I took it nicely and shook it calmly.
"Aloha." I joked, Carmen giggling at me. I looked down at her and made a monster face, even December laughing at my patheticness to make people laugh. "It's nice to meet you, please come in. Is there anything I can do for you?" I motioned for them to follow me into the den, where we won't be interrupted by the giggles I could already here begin.
"Carmen tells me your engaged? That's great, congratulations." December stated, touching her sister's shoulder, guiding her ahead of us.
"Thank you, is that why you came?" Hey, don't get me wrong, I love people and visitor's, but not when they show up on my door when I'm over crowded with work, and to make things worse, when they pop out of nowhere with Davey and Zacy-Poo upstairs there. God, I don't think anyone wants to hear them, and I pray they can't from here.
"Can I sit down in the big leather spiny seat?" Carmen asked, giggling.
"Sure, feel free." I told her. For being only 6 years old, she sure had a lot of spunk in her. "You can sit in the spiny-chair too if you want." I laughed toward Davey, and she rolled her eyes at her little sister.
"No thanks, I prefer my feet on the ground." she told me, her brown hair was long and as she got nervous, she started to tangle it around her fingers. It was a wreck, but I didn't say anything. December was a pretty girl, long, long pure bronze-brown glistened hair, emotionally young, brown eyes sparkled at me, and I wouldn't second guess she was Carmen's sister. Atleast now, anyway.
"Hey, whatever floats your boat." I joked, walking toward my personal, secret filing cabinet. It was unlocked, only Zac and I were home, so after I placed my reports in it, I had to lock it. The key was usually around my neck, on a balled silver chain, that hung low beneath my shirts. But, it was in my pocket.
"Can I ask you some advice?" December asked, and I couldn't help but wonder why. Why could she come to me, of all people, for advice.
"Sure." I locked the cabinet and put the necklace on, Carmen noticing immediately.
"Oooh! Mandy, can I wear it?" Oh man, how can I resist that face. No, I can't give it too her, there was too many personal things in that cabinet, I don't even let Taylor keep hold of the key, without putting up a fight first. Mandy, c'mon, you know she's only six, what can she do? Fine!
"Sure, but don't lose it."
"I won't, I promise." Carmen swore to me, her hands grasping at the necklace I held out to her.
"Anyway, advice?" I questioned, turning toward December. She fidgeted and I couldn't help see the fact that she was eyeing Carmen every few seconds.
"Can we step out in the hall, I don't want to discuss my life in front of big mouth over there." December told me, whispering. I nodded, guiding her toward the library, which a door by my cabinet led too.
"Listen Carmen, we'll be right back, stay here okay? If you don't, your going to have to give me my key back." I told her, opening the door and allowing December to pass through.
"Okie-dokie Mandy." she giggled. I rolled my eyes with a smile and stepped into the library, laughing at the awed look on December's face.
"I've never seen so many books, this is beautiful. Are any of these yours?" she asked me, looking up and down the walls.
"Mm, Taylor doesn't know it thought. I make them published under the cover name Anne Tyler."
"Really? I love 'Breathing Lessons'. I can't believe you wrote that!" she gapped. I laughed, man was she gullible.
"No!," I told her, "Anne Tyler is a real author, I have all her books, but Taylor doesn't know that all my published books aren't under my name. If he opens the last seven books in the stack, he'd notice my name is on the cover page, but he won't dare touch the golden-paged books, not without my knowing. I don't want him to read my books, too emotionally attached to them. Only on the cover does it say Anne Tyler, but on the cover page, its published under my name."
"Wow." December awed, man. I smiled to myself as my gaze lingered on my books, 'If your lonely', 'With that man' and an empty cover with no name that beholds the floppy to my latest story, which is nameless as of this moment. I could already tell December and I are going to have a lot in common, we'll be good friends.

Zac looked down at Davey, his emotions raging throughout him. Davey was beneath him, on the floor. He had her straddled, as he had me earlier. "Are you sure you want to do this?" he asked her, noticing her eyes were teary. "Are you scared?"
"Mmm nah ah, no." she replied, stretching to reach her lips to his. He bent down to her, and grazed their mouths together. He knew how to keep her for a while, he knew how to do it all. He knew how to drive them crazy. He knew it.
