Jerry's goings and doings and blissful moments of the past 38 years.

I enlisted in the Air Force in August of 62. I went to Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas for basic training. My first station was Geiger Field in Spokane, Washington. I spent nine months there and that's where I met my wife Beverly of 36 years. She was going to business college there. In June of 63 I was sent to McChord AFB in Tacoma, Washington. After two and a half years there I was sent to Walla Walla, Washington for the last nine months of my tour of duty. I worked in crash rescue and fire department durning my four years in the Air Force.

Bev and I were married in 1964 and upon discharge from Air Force in 1966 we moved to Idaho to farm with her dad. We've been here ever since farming and raising our family of two boys and two girls.

Jerry Jr. was born in 1964 . He and his wife Toni have two girls and a boy. They own a 85 acre farm ajoining mine and farms with me.

Lori is our oldest daughter born in 1968. She and her husband Loren and two children (a boy and a girl) also own a 80 acre farm and rents a 160 acres and farms about 11 miles for us. Lori is a Beautician.

Sandy was born in 1971. She is a Legal Secretary and her husband works for a computer firm. They have four children three boys and a girl. They live next to us.

Our baby boy, Randy was born in 1974. He and his wife Dara have six girls between their two marriages. They live a mile away in one of my farm houses. Randy works in commerical refrigeration.

Bev and I own three farms consisting of 399 acres. Jer Jr. farms with me and with rental ground we farm 550 acres together. We mainly raise sugar beets, wheat, sweet corn seed and alfalfa hay. Other crops depending on year and market. All of our ground is irrigated and cultivated. I raised pigs for 25 years. We had a farrow to finish operation with 60 sows and fattening out 1000 head of hogs a year. We also at the same time was running a lambing operation with 50 ewe's. We've raised cattle off and on for many years. We don't raise any livestock any more. When I'm not busy farming I'm keeping up repairs on four homes that we own.

We are very active in our church and have been for over 25 years. We attend Kuna First Baptist Church. I've served many years as trustee and Deacon. I've served as AWANA Commander for 12 years, Youth Leader, and wherever and when ever needed. Our children and grandchildren are also active in our church.

As our children were growing up we were very active in 4-H and FFA. All four of our kids raised Steers, Hogs and Lambs for both county and state fairs each year. We bought many, many fair animals supporting 4-H and FFA kids over the years. We are looking forward to supporting them again for we have three grandkids in 4-H this year showing Lambs. I served 12 years on the Ag. Advisory Board at Kuna High School. I am a member the the Countryman's Club in Nampa. It's a club for farmers and businessmen and I served on many committee's over the years.

My hobbies are hunting, fishing, traveling and restoring and refinishing old furniture and of course gardening. We've spent numerous winters in Mexico. Sometimes in our motor home or just flying. We love it down there. My newest passion is chatting on line with friends and relatives. Keep those e-mails coming. I would like to give an invite at this time to you that are reading this to come and visit us in Idaho. Our doors are always open to you. Upon my retirement, whenever that may be, I plan on doing a lot of traveling and fishing and building a cabin on our mountain property. Hope to see all at class reunion this Nov.
