Listen to Israel: Part 1

"Open Thou mine eyes, that I may behold wonderous things out of Thy Torah". Psalm 119:18

Wisdom is revealed to us through the Torah (instruction of Yahweh - the Word). If we want to know how to live right, we find it in the Word. If we want to have a good marriage , again, it is in the Word. And if we desire to understand what will unfold in the last days, it is in the Word.

Notice, I said "if". For such a small word it weighs greatly in deciding the wisdom we obtain. What I mean is this, the only way that we are going to have insight into the events of the last days is if we want it. Unfortunately, most dont. Most would rather live comfortable, than "live committed". Why is that? Because "commitment" requires seeking, digging, diligently pursuing to obtain. You will not be able to stay "hand fed" from the pulpit and truly walk committed.

For those who have the eyes opened and are ready to seek, there is a last days "time piece" identified for us in the scriptures. This clock serves to awaken us and instruct us concerning the hour.

THE LAST DAYS CLOCK

The clock that I refer to is Israel. For those with understanding, Israel is a sign of where and when we are in the last days. Let's begin to examine the scriptures.

THE RETURN

"Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidence, and seal, and take witness in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, saith YHVH". Jer 32:44

When Great Britain made an offer to eatablish a Jewish State in Uganda, the offer was politely refused by the The World Zionist Organization . Israel was ordained by their Elohim, to be re-established in the land promished to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. In response to their destined return, wealthy Jewish business men began buying land. In 1909 the first "kibbutz" (settlement) was founded in the area of the Sea of Galilee in anticaption of the return.

"Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such a thing? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children". Is 66:8

Because of disobedience to Elohim, the children of Israel were removed from their promised land and scattered throught the nations of the world. However, the Father revealed through Isaiah, that the nation would be reborn again, in a day. This was fullfilled on May 14, 1948, when the United Nations announced the statehood of Israel.

"And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein you are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out". Exk 20:34 As the prophet showed, the people of Israel began to return.

"Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the EAST and gather thee from the WEST; and I will say to the NORTH, Give up; and to the SOUTH, Keep not back: bring My sons from far, and My daughters from the ends of the earth" Is 43:5-6

Take note of the order of the return of Elohim's people. First they wold come from the east, then the west, followed by the north and finally the south. Quite specific. This is exactly the order in which the children of Israel returned to the land. According to the Judaic Encyclopedia, the east brought forth the first of those returning in the early 1900's followed closely by those in Europe (west). Then in 1988 throught he policies of Glasnost Jews began to return from Russia (north). In 1990 they returned from Africa (south).

RESTORING THE OLD

As the children of Israel returned from many nations, ostacles of unity faced them. Once in the land, they would have to be "one" people. In order to do this, they had to create common ground.

"Therefore wait ye upon ME, saith Yahweh, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for My determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them My indignation, all My fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of My jealousy. For then will Iturn to the people a pure language, that they may all call uponthe name of YHVH, to serve Him with one consent". Zeph 3:8-9

While I believe that these verses have a further reaching realization, I also see a fulfillment in our day. In 1982 Eliezer Ben Yehuda began the move to restore the Hebrew language for Israel. With this development the Ethipoian Jew and the Russian Jew met on common ground, that of a pure tongue.

"Thou shalt no longer be termed forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for YHVH delights in thee, and thy land shall be married". Is 62:4

During the absence of the children of Israel from the land, there was great desolation. The once fruitful area fell into emptyness. However, sense their return, Israel has once again become abundant and fruitful.

"He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit". Is 27:6

"I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together: That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of YHVH has done this, and the Holy One of Israel ha created it". Is 41:19-20

Today, these scriptures have become reality.

ARE YOUR EYES OPEN

With just the scriptures that we have examined so far, we should realize that the Father has been speaking to us through Israel. We should know that He has had His hand upon it from the beginning and all that prophets told us were for our understanding. But there is more.
