Like a shimmering star
I saw you from afar.
Our eyes met...
and instantly we connected.
At that time in my life
I didn't want to be tied down.
I was finally free to do as I pleased
and I was holding on to that power
with all my might.
As the years passed
You stood quietly in the background
true and steady..my best friend.
Then finally the night was right
My friends and I were at a club
I saw you walk in and my heart skipped a beat.
You made your way to our table
and stopped and just smiled.
You taught me how to twostep that night...
I taught you how to bump and grind *L*.
There was so much laughter surrounding us that night
Just like old times.
It was getting late and I decided it was time to go home
You gave me a ride,
we went back to your apartment and reminiscied of old times
until the wee hours of morning light.
The next thing I knew
I was wrapped in your arms
you placed the gentlest of kisses upon my lips.
We finally fell asleep wrapped in each others arms.
We were never apart since that wonderous, special night.
I think I always knew deep in my heart
that when our eyes first met
You had ahold of my heart.
